Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launched in November 2021 for Nintendo Switch, and for fans eager to jump back into the Sinnoh region, there are plenty of old favourites to catch. Some Pokémon from generation 4 require a bit more patience than others, though.

One Legendary in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl requires you to catch three others before you can even interact with it, so today we’re going to show you how to catch Regigigas.

How to get Regigigas in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Complete the Sinnoh Dex

Firstly, you’ll need to complete the Sinnoh Pokédex. Thankfully, this can be done with one copy of the game, and in one playthrough. All you need to do is to see one of every Pokémon, not catch them, and this can all be achieved during the course of the normal game.

If you’re struggling to see the box legendary of the other copy, Dialga or Palkia, speak to Cynthia’s grandmother and she’ll show you it.

After that, head back to Professor Rowan and he’ll upgrade your Pokédex for you, allowing you to catch almost 500 Pokémon in total, including plenty of new legendaries.

Catch the Regis

In order to wake Regigigas, you’ll need to catch his sons. Head to Ramanas Park and follow our guide in order to catch the three of them, or import them from another game. Once you’ve done this, head back to Snowpoint City.

Snowpoint City

At the top of Snowpoint City, you’ll now have access to the temple. Head inside and down a few floors. There are a few basic ice puzzles to get through, then you’ll reach Regigigas. Once you have all three Regis in your party, the statue will awaken and you can fight, and capture Regigias.

Be warned, it’s an incredibly tough fight, so be sure to bring your strongest team.
