I am attempting to complete all the village quests atm. I was doing ok, but Four Horns is vicious! D:

Any gobul advice. Fought him the first time last night and found his attacks very hard to dodge and couldn't get but one g sword hit in on him at the time.

Staying below helps, if possible. Take two traps and use 'em both when he is on land and make the most of them, SMACK! Use a thunder weapon if you have one. Use sonic bombs to stop him from hiding underground (unless you want to carve stuff off of him and don't mind taking a hit). As ever, take shed loads of potion, mega potions, and anything else that will help. Good luck!

edit: If you are having trouble dodging, try blocking instead. If you do, make sure you have the sharpener skill as you will have to often.

@Machu - You really have to be all pro on 6 Star Quest. Combing in the mission is your friend. Bring a Pitfall Trap and then supplies to combine two more. Also bring a Shock Trap so you can cap one of them. Another trick I do for emergencies is bring 10 Blue Mushrooms and 10 Herbs so if you're having a bad run you can add 10 more Potions. Also bring a Mega DemonDrug or Armorskin to supplement whatever buff you didn't get from your pre-quest meal.

You'll be pwning them Blos in no time.

Cheers dude. I'm already taking 10 potions, 10 mega potions, 2 max potions, an ancient potion, and lifepowder but I shall take some ingredients along too. I just need to stop taking risks, leaving the eating of health too late when I should have done it sooner. D:

@slapshot82 Gobul has a pretty wide variety of attacks compared to the other enemies you've faced so far. Learn to predict them and dodge in the right direction (always perpendicular) and you'll be fine. In fact, you could use that advice for pretty much every large monster. If you're having trouble evading, don't attack as much and instead keep an eye on her - then strike after she's finished her attack. An easy way to identify noobs online is that they never stop attacking and thus get maimed in the process. _{Yes, Gobul is a girl. hawt}

Also Gobul is weak against lightning, so bring a lightning weapon.

EDIT: Protip for trappers - monsters gain resistance to traps as you use them. The first shock/pitfall trap will last a lot longer than the second, and so on. If you plan on capturing your foe, keep trap use at a minimum until you're sure they're weak. One strategy is to use pitfalls to aid you in combat until they're weak, and then use shock to capture them (or vice versa). _{Note pitfalls don't work underwater obv lol.}

@Slapshot82. One last thing. Don't forget to fish him out. It will help with the first part of the fight. In case you didn't know you use a frog to do that!!

Where does one get these frogs? I haven't seen a single one yet (after150 hours of play). 0.o

@Machu They turn up in the bottom-left area in the Flooded Forest. You can gather them at leafy plants along with other kinds of bait.

Speaking of traps, I spent over 100,000z on Thunderbugs on-line last night. That should last me awhile.

@JayArr: wtf! The later quests must pay hella well.

@slapshot: Just stay away from him when he digs underground (all of his emerging attacks are pwnerific), and get under him and smash his belly whenever you can. I found the lance to be a really good weapon against it since it's easy to ram it upwards into its soft soft belly quickly.

Oh, and whenever you hear its light thingy "snapping", make sure you face the opposite direction and run away from it as fast as possible. If you're lucky it won't stun you.

I want 100,000 gs

Anyone know what the level cap is? I`ve got one person on my friends list and he is level 94 last i checked. Anybody see anyone higher?

is 100000G a acheivement?

HR 999 is the cap.

I can't even imagine how long that would take.

Holy crap! Do you think you would be playing that long. I for one am not taking this game out of my system till metroid then zelda comes out. At least I have a long wait till then.

@Zane. Its not that its an achivment. Its the fact he had 1ooooo gs to blow on one item. We could all sell our lower rank items and probably have that much and then some.
