Thanks for all the advice guys. I only got a few minutes with the gobul last night. i don't get much time in for gaming during the week. I found all her attacks very hard to predict lol. I'm sure just like the Barroth ( only used two meds taking one down Monday) ill soon know its every move lol.
@Tech... I spent hours over the weekend tracking down a copy of Klonoa Wii in my city. Played it for bout 5 min and was back on Tri, heck I even forgot to check Mondays Downloads and yesterdays PSN Downloads playing Tri.

Coming from a person who has never played a MH game, I like it a lot! For me, it`s the kinda game you need patience to play though. There is tons of items, weapons, armors, monsters, and other stuff. I never played the demo, and the graphics seem fine to me. No blur at all, and graphics shouldn`t be a big factor on deciding unless they hurt your eyes or something. My only gripe about the game(and those who own it as well could agree) is that the text is very small. I can still read it, but I take my time when doing so. All in all, it`s a great game. And you should probably rent it to see for yourself.
Thank god I'm not the only one. The text is TINY! I have to put the screen size up to 4:3 to read it. Monster Hunter Tri is a very good game. Takes a while to get into it, but when you do, your going to be blown away by the absolutely amazing and deep gameplay it provides.
I'm already at Rank 32 online, and still having a blast! Getting all the weapons, armors, items etc. takes time, but once you do, and then start upgrading it all, you start to see the fun.
With all RPGs, you have to put in effort to get anything out of it... Same with everything in life I suppose.
The text is like the monsters themselves. Hammer 'A', and it will die.
Hammer 'A'? I hammer and smash 'X'.
I hate, wait loath, the text, its almost like I have to squint to see which letter I'm on. But I am slowly getting used to it, but it dam near makes my eyes bleed.
Oh right, I forget some weirdo's are using a CC (like everybody). [edit: or did I just confuse myself?] Grab yourself a keyboard dude, I couldn't use that flaming in-game keypad thingy. D:
I've grabbed your code btw, and will add you to 'the list'. Maybe see you online sometime.
Reading the thread makes me want to get this game.... Not sure I can justify the price because I don't have online capability. Is it worth it without multiplayer?
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him shall have eternal life.
The single player game is not bad. It gets you prepared for online though. At least rent it and if you have a chance to go online at a later date pick it up. You dont get hunter ranks in single plyer mode either. one last thing. The single player game is about 20 to 30 hours long depending on how much you want out of it. Even after its over there is still plenty of things to do.
@Machu I wish we could play together.D: You seem like a fun person to play with.
Once you finish single player you still continue to use it in parallel with online so that you can farm and gather items. It's extremely useful. It's still a good game if you only play offline but you're seriously missing out because online is the best thing about the game.
@JayArr Thunderbugs are on sale again?! AFK SELLING EVERYTH

I'm always online, lol. I'm hunting one down, the on-screen keyboard is a nightmare to use. Might also grab a Wii Speak, therefore, no need for a keyboard.
I'm normally always on Valor1, if not I'm probably on one of the Expert servers or just not on.
Trying to get these two stupid Lagiacrus Horns for the Head, absolute nightmare to damage , mainly due to the fact his heads too high and there's the chance he's gonna electrify your brain... .
Oh well, if anyone wants to play with me, we can always arrange a time and place to meet up. See ya on the hunting grounds.
Got the gobul down last night. What pain in the neck. Of all the things I've fought in my 55 hrs now, I like these big mouth flounder things the least.
You guys use the CC Pro ? Capcom helped design it for MH Tri. I love mine. Keyboard is a must though as well as Wii Speak.

I've been trying to find fault with the mote/chuk combo. The only ones I can find are that if you press 'A' on something with the mote slightly inclined, you whip your weapon out instead of opening the supply box or carving. And no analogue camera control of course.
But apart from that, it feels really intuitive now. I love changing the mote's rotation through a combo.
