Well, the Guerrilla collective is quite a few different indie devs, @ThanosReXXX .... I don't know most of the individual names & obviously there's 'only' a relatively few I'm particularly interested in but there's quite a mixture of stuff covered, so there should be something for everyone in there
As for 'reveal', sometimes they've had demos out before, other times, they've come to Steam before or at least they let you wishlist them there, so between all of that, I had already heard of most of the ones yesterday before
@BruceCM Yeah, I saw they already did a show yesterday as well, but this one features other games, so I've still found it worth watching. But of course, that's for each of us to decide, and obviously, what with all of us living in different areas of the world, the timing of some of these events might not suit everyone's calendar or agenda.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Yeah, I'll look for the list later, @ThanosReXXX .... If you hadn't heard of most of the stuff before or seen just about anything for them, it'd be worth watching!
Quick question about Virtua Tennis 4.
How to do drop shot easily ?
I have tried to use slice shot and maintain the distance between me and the ball but it looks like the ball keep looping high and it looks readable for CPU to counter.
I have to master the drop shot as I felt upset for keep stuck in looping balls around.
Maybe someone can give me some tips.
@BruceCM Regarding what Jon Cartwright says on NVC, he says he's not surprised Nintendo haven't revealed it, citing that most or all hardware reveals have not happened during Directs, and he rand down a list of models, saying all were revealed by just a press release & trailer.
(pasted youtube link to play at the relevant timestamp)
Side note, Nate the Hate no longer thinks the reveal will happen(watched his recent youtube). He thinks nintendo created the trailer, but is holding onto it. ...Come to think of it, maybe this makes some sense? Nintendo has likely been working on producing the E3 Direct in the past 2+ weeks, and maybe Nintendo made the hardware revision trailer while they had all their video production resources primed and running? Plausible, but I'm also over the new hardware hype, as most of us probably are.
I'm not taking Nate the Hate's bait anymore. (see that rhyme there?😉)
Yeah, that all sounds plausible enough, @WoomyNNYes .... I'll be glad to hear about it, officially, so I can check just how much of an upgrade it'll be & hopefully find I don't have to worry about my Lite! I was never really hyped for it myself, though
@BruceCM You know, playing BOTW this week, I realized, a bump in Switch power could really help BOTW performance, eliminate pop-ins, and that serious frame rate issue in that special area where the Master Sword is located. I never saw pop-ins as a real issue, but playing the beginning for the 4th-5th time, there's definitely room for improved presentation. (I have only finished the game twice.)
@WoomyNNYes
I have some difficulty to do drop shot on Virtua Tennis 4 PS3 I got this evening.
Everytime I hit the ball with slice shot, the ball looks looping around, didn't look like a fast drop shot (not a smash shot).
I usually used some strategy by hit the ball on opposite direction from the opponent with fast shot so they will unable to catch the ball for other tennis games but since the ball I hit looks like looping high, the CPU was oftenly able to read my shot.
I have tried to getting closer to the net to have a chance to smash the ball but even I tried to use slice shot to smash, the ball keep looping high again, not a fast drop shot. I don't want my game purchase felt wasted for keep losing against CPU even I have set the difficulty on the easiest. 😑
I didn't press the button that make the ball looping high, I pressed the button for Slice Shot.
@Anti-Matter Nobody to my knowledge here has played Virtua Tennis 4. Don’t get worked up when you’re not getting answered, it’s not like we’re trying to do it on purpose.
@TheJGG
I still at the beginning, I tried the Exhibition mode for quick play 1 vs 1 to test the gameplay mechanism.
I have started the Career mode so I think I have a chance to beat the opponent with well trained custom character.
I saw some Sonic references from Virtua Tennis 4 on Youtube since the game made by SEGA.

It's like he did not even read your answer Just keep giving info about the game he "tries" to play

The Indie Direct just now was a big surprise for me. 😃
So many 3D indie games caught my attentions, even PARALIVES, The Sims style game by indie developer. 😲😲😲
@Anti-Matter Perhaps people don't care for old games when everything is about E3 right now, which is MUCH more interesting. Stop being so over-sensitive if people don't reply to you; it's nothing personal.
And complaining about not being able to beat a game that you've only played for one hour clearly shows a lack of realism. As with any sports game, you need to practice FAR more hours than just a single one, to beat the computer opponents. They aren't going to do you any favors, after all, so you'll REALLY need to get good at it.
But now I'm going back to the E3 and the European Soccer Championship, both of which are FAR more interesting than posting advice on the Chit-Chat thread that probably won't be taken into consideration anyways...
