@TheJGG Yeah, I'm assuming that they'll announce news on BotW 2 in a regular direct or in a Zelda-themed direct. Whatever Nintendo decides to do. Agreed with you on the first-party stuff...I want more of it. Especially if it's the next Mario platformer! Agreed with you on Smash as well, I was stoked to see Pyra and Mythra as the next Smash fighters too, since Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is one of my favorite Switch games. But yeah...a lot of people set their expectations too high and if it's not what they want, it can get pretty toxic. This is why I don't read comments online that much.

@MarioLover92 Honestly, when Pokemon was first conceived, I don't think ANYONE anticipated that the series would become the juggernaut that it is. XD Typically, most fads like that are only popular for a few years or so. It's hard to believe it's been 25 years!

I might play around with the Hunting Horn in Rise since I think the concept is pretty cool, but I do expect to stick with the Dual Blades most of the time. In many games I've played, I like taking a melee DPS role and getting up close and personal. A fast-moving attack style usually suits me. I'm not a big fan of ranged attacking/weapons other than the few times I find it convenient. XD

If you finish that Mario drawing, I'd like to see it! And I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants that to surface either. No pressure if you're busy IRL.

From what little I know of Sora, he definitely seems like a likeable (if not relatable) character. Which is definitely one of the protagonist formulas that work! I do agree, having both Donald and Goofy along in sage/helper roles is weird...particularly the latter. I didn't have a lot of exposure to Goof Troop back in the day since my family didn't have cable, but what little I did see of the show was enjoyable! Though Goofy definitely was (and supposedly, still is) a klutz. XD

Ah, so Nomura characters in XC2 have well-defined noses. Duly noted. I'll keep that in mind for when I do get around to playing XC2. Which I do keep saying I'll get to, but unfortunately there are a LOT of games I'd like to get to....I wonder if there are cloning programs to replace oneself at work? XD

The more you describe Ghosts of Tsushima, the more I want to try it! From what I've heard and read, backed up by your feedback, its GOTY nominations were definitely earned. Sounds like a fun game to play around with mechanically and experiment with! And I'm a sucker for a good story. I know some complain about in-game cinematics, but I don't mind them so long as they have a purpose and a decent presentation.

@Tyranexx Absolutely - I remember when I was like 6 or 7, pretty much every kid in school would always play Pokemon anytime they brought out their Game Boy Colors. Red and Blue came out during my elementary school days. So yeah, I'm not lying - it was a phenomenon of epic proportions! I've seen it much later on too - some people would be playing their 3DS, and yep, they're playing Pokemon all right. This was before the pandemic broke out, of course.

I was watching Megaman Battle Network & Megaman Star Force anime from Youtube as i was curious to getting know about them.
Man... Both of them are completely different kind of Megaman.
Megaman BN = Virtual Megaman in Cyber world who befriend with a young boy Netto.
Megaman SF = an 11 years old Geo Stelar who can transform into Megaman after met with War Rock from planet FM.

I tried to getting know more about Megaman BN and SF as i have ever knew them when i was teen but didn't really caught my attention. As i grew up and i have curiosity with older stuffs, i found Megaman BN and SF were something that missing from my teen age.
The design of Megaman BN and SF outfits are the best in my opinion.
I don't really have interest with other Megaman such as the original, X, ZX but i have some interest with Megaman Powered Up PSP (Cute Chibi form) and Megaman 11 (HD Megaman with new difficulty for Newbie) for 2D side scrolling Megaman.

I'm just here thinking I wish there was more news today but then I remember'd that NL doesn't do those trash articles just to fill news for the day. (Just a thought I had)

We'll just have to wait. I'm personally very happy to wait; I don't want a repeat of Cyberpunk 2077, that was the perfect example of a rushed game being forever bad. I doubt that reputation will ever go away, because there was an insane amount of hype for this game. Of course CDPR did NOT help themselves by getting Keanu to do a few trade shows. If Nintendo did this I'd get a bit apprehensive. In recent years they've refrained from this like it's the plague.

We do need a new Mario game, because the last few have been games that already exist, like 3D World, Mario Bros U, and more. At times Nintendo's rationale is questionable from an artistic point of view, but when you think about it like a businessperson it becomes a bit easier to get. The game already exists, and not many people have a Wii U, so adding new stuff'll shift millions.

I've already said this before but live comments on YouTube are hot garbage. The only people who use it are degenerate garbage who have no idea what the word "common sense" means at all. I turn it off every single time, and I don't want to let these idiots ruin what was otherwise a fantastic Direct last month.

At times the Disney-isms can be so grating, Donald's voice can be tough on your ears after six hours, and with both Donald and Goofy the writing is way too complicated to be transmitted to us, the player, through honestly what are two very un-human-like voices. But notwithstanding that the party have decent chemistry, considering they've had like fifteen games together, uh 'yuh!

It's not a major gripe but the Torna designs have a few minor inconsistencies with the rest of Masatsugu Saito's designs. Though another way to look at it is that Nomura's designs didn't make express efforts to show off some more female skin. The more I've thought about it the more it feels like Pyra and Mythra's designs were the only ones where their lack of modesty was over eighty percent justified. Saito said that Pyra's unclothed back was representative of her vulnerable nature, and that her and Mythra's designs played off each others by using different armour covering different places. For example Mythra's legs are exposed but Pyra's for the most part aren't.

I don't advise you read the following until you finish the game, so I'll copy the text and post it again when you do. And of course when you combine the two designs you get their ascended state, which has a green and black colour scheme, which is the opposite of red and white. Plus, Pneuma is completely covered, because of the contrasting nature of Pyra and Mythra's armour.

Every other instance of less-modest female character design feels like it had less thought put in. There could have been some interesting backstory behind some; Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, had a very valid reason for wearing the outfits that she did, because she was infected with a highly dangerous parasite, and opening her mouth risks transmitting it. So therefore she drinks and eats through photosynthesis, through her skin, therefore making her exposure a bit more acceptable. Her actress, Stefanie Joosten, backed this up, saying that "it fits in the Metal Gear universe, I think. [...] Mr. Kojima has his reasons for deciding why Quiet [is] wearing what she's wearing." Plus, Kojima himself said that he "created her character as an antithesis to the women characters appeared in the past fighting game who are excessively exposed." and that "once you recognise the secret reason for her exposure, you will feel ashamed,". So personally I'm cool with it!

I'm glad I'll expose you to Ghost of Tsushima, so if you do get the game I'll make sure to ask about how it goes for you. I'll intend to play it right after posting this, so I'm excited to slay some more Mongols.

And having edited this after a good hour of playing, it’s a wild ride. I turned the difficulty down to the point that if I stagger an enemy they’ll be down within three hits, and I’m never truly at risk of death, so I may turn it back up to allow victories to have more gratifying outcomes. There IS a very interesting difficulty level, Lethal difficulty. It’s not like other hardest difficulty levels that make your foes health sponges, this mode focuses on realism. That means every enemy in the game, including bosses, can be killed in two or three strikes. Of course you will also die in two hits, so if it’s hardcore realism you’re after this game has you very covered. I tried Bringer of Chaos difficulty for Xenoblade 2, for one low level enemy, and it went so badly that I immediately switched it back to Normal.

I'm so annoyed right now. I wanted to get some new music. I don't like streaming music normally. I prefer to either buy the MP3 or the CD so that I have it in my library for good. But the artist I wanted to get is only available for streaming in the US. Just streaming, no purchase option. How does that make any sense?

Is this the direction the industry is going now? Are they actually going to start forcing us to only stream music? You either have a monthly subscription or screw you, no music for you?

Just another reason that returning to this country was a mistake. Added to the list.

It is not exactly right but if an artist makes his music in such a way he is asking for it.

I don't do it either, I'd prefer to have a copy on a phone or computer, to use whenever I want without having to pay a flat rate every month. Shame music vending's become like this; it must have been good back in the seventies where you could buy thirteen-inch vinyls. I've felt them and played them, there's such a retro feel. The ability to rewind and fast forward as you want makes for some fun messing about.

I mean, even Atlus put their soundtracks on Spotify. ATLUS. But there's one certainty other than death, taxes and the United States letting you down; Nintendo will never, ever put their music onto a streaming service.

Nintendo has exactly one album on iTunes. The Odyssey music selections album.

If only they could make more of their music available for purchase digitally, they'd take a lot of money from this little sucker here.

I do pay for the Apple Music service so having it there would be awesome too.

Yourself and Heavyarms55 will be the first two buyers of the various soundtracks, if and only if they actually budge. I think there's a better chance of North Korea getting taken over by @Zuljaras' pet hedgehog, than Nintendo selling their music.

Last night I was playing Shinobi III for the Genesis, and surprisingly enough I beat the first two levels without losing a life. And I had trouble with level 2 when I first played it! Go me. lol

@TheJGG Yeah, I'm happy to wait as well, as I know they'll eventually announce something that I'd love playing. Good things come to those who wait, after all. And yes, I would LOVE to see the next Mario platformer be announced soon, but I'm starting to think that Nintendo's planning such a thing for their next console. Same thing with the next Mario Kart. Come to think of it, I wonder if they'll have Mario Kart 9 for Switch, considering that Splatoon 3 is also gonna be on Switch next year.

I always, ALWAYS turn off the live chat as well. Especially on Nintendo Directs. Not only is it distracting, but it's full of negative garbage that I don't feel like reading. I get it, these guys want Waluigi in Smash Ultimate...

@Eel I'd like to mention that the soundtrack to Tokyo Mirage Sessions is on iTunes under its Japanese name. Found it one day by typing FE Encore in iTunes. I bought a few of the songs (and I live in the US), as well as have Jump Up Super Star from Super Mario Odyssey as a single.

That's the Nintendo music I found online in a digital music store anyway.

To be fair, that probably counts more as an atlus album. They do have a lot of albums available on Apple Music and iTunes, I have all of the Etrian Odyssey labyrinth songs on my library 😀
