@MarioLover92 Yeah, it's crazy how quickly they get bought up. I follow a few gaming news channels on YouTube, so been hearing a lot about the scalping.

@Sunsy
I want to ask what is the difference between Sonic Colours Wii with Sonic Generations PS3 as i saw from Youtube, Sonic Colours was looks like Sonic Generations Act 2 (3rd person view running, not side scrolling running) ?

Oh, i have played Sonic Lost World 3DS version and i was terrible at playing Sonic games. (mostly fell down into bottomless pit) 😣

@Sunsy Yeah...hopefully they'll be around next holiday season and that Sony makes enough of them. Worst case scenario, I'll just settle for a PS4.

@Blooper987 Ouch. Sorry to hear that. My feet started to hurt after walking in a beach for so long, but that was a long time ago. You deserve some rest.

@Anti-Matter Sonic Colors is pretty much just like the Modern Sonic levels in Sonic Generations. However, you get White Wisps to fill your boost meter instead of rings. There are plenty of Wisp power-ups as well, such as laser, drill, hover, and frenzy. It all makes up for one of the better Sonic games in the past decade, honestly - it may not be quite as good as games like Super Mario Galaxy, but I still enjoyed it overall!

I definitely fit in some gaming earlier, but I spent the rest of my afternoon and early evening doing yard work (pruning bushes mostly) and my every two week cleaning. With how the weather is trending, I'll likely be mowing in a couple weeks.... I'd still like to slap whoever came up with the concept of lawns. Probably some bozo who didn't have to do all the work....

@TheJGG Thanks! I'll be sure to give those a listen soon. Likely when I'm back at work.

On Kingdom Hearts III: Sounds like you're having fun with the game so far! For the most part. As a huge Disney fan (of their properties anyway; the less said about the corporation, the better), you'd think I'd really be into the series, but I've never actually played any of the games. Most of the games have appeared on platforms I never owned, though I did consider picking up Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance on 3DS at one point. I've also heard the overarching story is really convoluted and hard to follow. What little I do know about the series is due to a piece of the manga that I picked up many years ago. Thanks to that, I'm familiar with what "Heartless" and "Nobodies" are, but I guarantee I'd be confused as heck if I hadn't been playing KH from the beginning.

It appears I've played a couple games Tetsuya Nomura has had a hand in (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI) and own several more (Final Fantasy X/X-2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, The World Ends With You, etc.). The guy definitely has a certain touch!

Going by what I know about Ghosts of Tsushima, I'm sure I'd enjoy the game. The gameplay, graphics, and premise intrigue me. It'd be cool to play as a samurai. I'd be fine with the violence as long as it's realistic and not way overblown lol.

@Anti-Matter Love the realistic young man drawing!

@ThanosReXXX "Kidnapped", "hostaged", "held", "retained"...anything works. Though at least around here, "hostaged" doesn't enter the terminology much unless it's used as a noun. Really, my parents bought the Wii to begin with, so it isn't like they stole it or are holding it for ransom. XD

I don't adore plants or anything, but I do enjoy some greenery on occasion. The only indoor plant I have is a spider plant (they're easy to take care of and hard to kill in my experience). Outside, I only have a small handful of knockout roses out front along with a normal rosebush; previously, two of the knockout rose locations were once occupied by normal rosebushes, but those never were fully established. I don't know if they became diseased, but having their leaves skeletonized definitely didn't help (Japanese beetles, ugh). Surprisingly, the one normal rosebush bounced back after I honestly thought it had died and has thrived ever since. Before those, there were some normal hedge bushes that were a pain and were killed off by mole tunneling. There are also two Rose of Sharon bushes on the property that were here before I moved in. All relatively easy to take care of minus some pruning in the early spring and a few minutes of watering in drier weather. Which is fine by me. I don't need anything high-maintenance lol. Anything else on the property, like in a tractor tire planter I have (also was here first), is strictly occupied by perennial plants.

Tl;Dr - All low-maintenance stuff that's unlikely to die soon unless a particularly nasty drought or parasite rolls along. I'd go nuts if I had a huge garden or a metric ton of flowers in planters, though. You can thank some relatives for that aversion; I had to water all of their plants and take care of their animals if they went off on vacation when I was younger. Watering alone took well over an hour. I was paid well, but MAN was that a lousy job. XD

@MarioLover92 I'm not sure how widely available the Pokemon Sword/Shield + DLC bundles are these days, but Walmart, at least in-store, knocked $10 off the price when I last laid eyes on a copy. Not much, but at the end of the day $80 is less scary than $90!

Briefly on the National Dex thing: I understand why some people were upset, but from a dev/resources perspective how can anyone reasonably think that Game Freak/TPC could keep adding as many Pokemon models as they do? There's roughly 1000+ at this point, including shiny forms, other form changes, etc. So yeah, it was a disappointing decision, but one that makes sense. Besides, it's not like they're permanently axing some of the "forgotten" Pokemon from the canon.

It did take me a little bit to get a hand of the controls in the Monster Hunter Rise demo, but I did start having fun with it once they (sort of) clicked. I didn't have many issues with weapons as I mostly stuck with the Dual Blades, which I've been told are one of the more beginner-friendly weapons. If the corresponding thread on this site is anything to go by, it can take some time to master one or two of the weapons, let alone all of them. It'll be my first full game in the series.

On MK8D: I completed all cups in 100cc with 3* and a good chunk of them in 150cc, but I became frustrated with how randomly a race could go in any direction. Too, while I enjoy the occasional bout of racing in various forms, it just isn't a genre that holds my attention for very long. I think I've clocked a little over 20 hours on the game.

@MarioLover92
I spotted someone displayed Sonic Colours Wii Australia version on Tokopedia. I still haven't own Wii PAL version as my current Wii is USA version and i need the PAL Wii machine for playing both Wii and Gamecube PAL version.
Btw, can i play PAL Europe Wii games on PAL Australia machine ?
I also spotted someone displayed Wii PAL Australia version on sale from Tokopedia.

Btw, i was surprised to see Starfox Adventures from my Wii looked very crisp in 480p (the game asked for progressive scan being on or off) and 60fps. 😲
The thing i don't really like was the using yellow analog button for choosing items / weapons instead for turning the camera angle like common 3D adventure / platformer games.
And i thought Fox McCloud voice from Starfox Adventures was too young, like Tidus's voice.

I realized the legs proportion from my realistic young man drawing was a bit shorter. I used A4 paper to draw instead of F4 paper so yeah... I lost a few centimeter to extend his legs. 😅

Spent a good chunk of the evening watching Sonic Boom on DVD. I knew it was funny, but didn't know it was this funny. Haven't seen it much since I don't have cable, so my only experience with this spin-off series has been the games on Wii U and 3DS.

@Anti-Matter I think @MarioLover92 answered the question on Colors better than I could. Generations features Classic Sonic, which plays more like 2D levels. Modern Sonic gameplay reminds me of Colors or Forces, where the game goes from third person to 2D. Both games have different stories. I've played Generations on PC, which is the same as the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

@MarioLover92 If you have any PS4 games, hope you enjoy them. I hope they can boost production or something. I do feel bad that people who want them are having a hard time getting them.

@Anti-Matter Probably...I'm not in a PAL region and literally all my console games are the US versions, but Australia uses both the same language and TV standard as the UK. I'd say if you can find a US version that is reasonably priced and authentic (keep in mind that retro games tend to skyrocket in price and you may get counterfeits, especially with GBA and DS games), go for that.

I like how Star Fox Adventures is in 60 FPS as well, that's something that the 3D Zelda games don't do. And yeah, you use the C Stick to cycle between actions/items - that might throw me off if I revisit it, considering that I've been so used to using the right control stick for camera movement. lol

@Tyranexx Ah I see, that's about as much as I expected in terms of price drops, lol. I can see why people were left disappointed with the national dex cut, too, but yeah I highly doubt the cut Pokemon will be out of the series entirely.

And yeah, I pretty much dealt with the dual blades almost the entire time of me playing. Did some experimenting with what weapons would be up my alley, though the dual blades are what I'm best at using for the time being.

I do understand your thoughts on MK8D. There's not a whole lot of unlockables either, admittedly. Love the game myself, for sure, but I pretty much play it on occasion, particularly online.

You may be interested to know that back in Mario Day of this year, I started work on a Mario drawing. Too bad I was too busy with other things though, lol. Hopefully I'll come back to it in due time!

@Tyranexx The music's relatively calming, except when it's a huge orchestra and a dramatic choir. In any case when you get to it hopefully you'll enjoy some of the music!

It's pretty early doors to make a definitive opinion of course but if I do enjoy KH3, I'll just buy the other collections, namely.... deep breath 1.5+2.5 HD Remix, and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Of course I imagine things like the ending will have less impact on me because I started what as of now is the penultimate chronological and timeline entry in the series. But ehhh... Sora's nice and cheerful enough. Donald and Goofy are... there. It feels so strange to have the older Disney characters from the thirties and forties have... sage-like roles in assisting Sora on his quest.

It's easy to recognise Nomura's art style, and never was it more obvious, than in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. With the sole exception of Zeke, none of the main cast have actual noses. Of course human physiology dictates they must but the art style means they have a small amount of shading, and that's it. The Nomura ones have very well defined noses, so that automatically screams his name. His artwork also has this nice hand-drawn quality, with a touch of chalk.

The Ghost of Tsushima combat is quite stellar. It's really smooth and deep enough that you'll take a while to master it, but grounded in that you won't need much guidance to get started. I've only just finished Act I, but there's some things to note; the cinematic quality of this game is in another league. The cutscenes are almost like films in that they're framed perfectly, have superb music, and terrific acting. The options available to toggle the cutscenes, like the grainy black and white "Kurosawa mode", make it really good, with an almost vintage feel.

It also runs like a dream on PS4 Pro/PS5, and considering this game was locked to 30FPS on the original PS4, makes me only imagine what it must have looked like. It makes everything that much smoother. The violence strangely made me laugh in a fit of pure adrenaline yesterday, taking out Mongols is that satisfying. And I'M the guy who complains within reason about violence in video games being gratuitous.

@MarioLover92 You have chosen... wisely. Seems in that respect we have the same initial interests in PlayStation games. I haven't played any of the Crash Bandicoot games but considering N Sane Trilogy and It's About Time are now both on the Switch I may add that to my growing wish list. I think I've ran out of spending after buying Persona 5 Strikers, but that's my March game. April will be Monster Hunter, I've sworn to myself that I'd listen to JaxonH. I'm not sure of the game I'll get in May, perhaps something on PlayStation. Same applies to June, that's in the air. July will be Skyward Sword without a single doubt, but everything after that is wholly reliant on what Nintendo and Sony announce.

@TheJGG Yeah absolutely. Right now there's not a whole lot of upcoming Switch games that I'd be super into - the February direct left me feeling kinda empty as a result. (I remember you saying that you liked it - more power to you!) Mario Golf: Super Rush looks fun, and I may get Skyward Sword HD, especially if it's as good as the other Zelda remakes. I still have my Wii copy though, so not sure if I want to double dip. Splatoon 3 looks...fine. Kinda looks like more of the same and it would've truly benefited from being on Nintendo's next console.

Oh yeah, I saw some footage of Ghost of Tsushima. Looks cool and I like Japanese settings (plus samurais are awesome), so I think I'd dig playing it.

@MarioLover92 I’d say the February Direct retrospectively gets a 4/5 from me now. There were some great surprises, but Nintendo better have their entire AAA lineup saved for the second half of the year. The third party stuff was alright though. Famicom Detective Club looks fascinating, and must have had a significant facelift to feel like a modern visual novel.

Either way I’m very happy that we’ve actually gotten a Direct at all, and with Nintendo saying that they’ll announce news on the Breath of the Wild sequel this year it can also be surmised that we’ll get another Direct. And as for Skyward Sword, I’ll get it anyway, but I hope there’s some good new features or content. Just to entice new players.

On that note while I was stoked to see Pyra and Mythra get the Smash treatment I’m glad it’s nearly over, there’s been so much hype and expectation around these fighters that it’s starting to get sickening.

So our Sonic is pretty fierce little monster but after taking a bath he sits like that for a long time. This is the only time he is not trying to kill us.
