Woohoo...!!
I finished LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER PS4 just now. πππ
I have finished that games for the 3rd time after Wii U and Switch version.
It took 18 hours by total to finish the storyline.
Now i will hunt some Tokens to make my 8 disguises looks great in shirtless six pack like my Wii U and Switch version. π
Laid in my bed watching Clannad, and crying last night. I donβt tend to get emotional, but that show! Not even finished with the season yet, and itβs already got me in tears!
@theJGG His arc felt so forced. Hell, almost everything felt so forced in this movie. It's a shame, Wonder Woman is an interesting character; it's just no one knows how to write her.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
@Heavyarms55 I do have quite a bit of experience, both with cables and converters, although as @Zuljaras will also be able to testify, results aren't always as straight forward and/or decisive, so sometimes it's a bit of trial and error, until you find the right solution for your personal setup.
I'll just link a couple of pages of the official GameCube thread and one of a Wii thread in which I also recommended a specific cable and a signal converter/upscaler. The second link also has a couple of videos, if you scroll down a bit to comment #138 on that page.
So, without further ado, I present to you the relevant links here, here, here, here and here's the one for the Wii. Enjoy the read. There might be some doubles, concerning links to solutions.
@Tyranexx For some reason, your endless quest for the missing/misplaced Wii reminded me of that quote for dr. Bob in Animal Hospital on the Muppet Show: "the continuing story... " except instead of a dog, it's a dirty blonde...
Hope you find something useful sometimes on either of those links. Thought I had already posted them some time before, but either way: you're welcome. And thanks very much for the wishing wells, much appreciated. Luckily, I was able to get home before all hell broke loose, and I also live in the city ring outside of the center of the city, and seeing as that is where all the "excitement" is taking place, I'm generally not too bothered by it.
As for Nintendo and backwards compatibility: at times, it almost seems unreal how out of touch they seem. You don't always have to copy or do like others do, but come on: if both Microsoft AND Sony will even offer current gen games on their online platforms, how the heck can they not even see that it's definitely worth the effort to at least try to offer something that is at least remotely close? And in fact, their current online offerings are even a step back from what they had on previous consoles, which makes it even worse, and actually all the more offensive and insulting, in my humble opinion.
Oh, well. I hope I live long enough to see GameCube online, or else a GameCube Mini...
@ogo79 No problem? Yeah, for you maybe. I'm constantly racking my brain which long forgotten comment you've actually replied to. Sometimes I just think you're doing it on purpose...
@theJGG You're very welcome. And no worries: I didn't take any offense or anything whatsoever, just thought I'd add my two cents and get our in-house Japan specialist involved...
Okay, okay... gotta rinse that Sailor Moon cringe-fest from my eyes, before I go blind forever.
There's only a handful of actually good and/or entertaining "anime to live-action" conversions out there, and in the category entertaining and fun to watch for ages teen and up, I'd definitely recommend Cutie Honey:
Which by the way also has quite the catchy title song, sung by none other than the rather attractive and sultry (in my humble opinion) Koda Kumi:
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Eel I was never into the girly stuff when I was a kid. Back then, we only had a few foreign and/or commercial TV channels over here, and one was Sky Channel, and besides stuff like He-Man, M.A.S.K., Bravestarr and other Western animated series, they also broadcasted all kinds of Japanese anime series, all dubbed.
My favorites where the usual suspects and some other, perhaps lesser known series: Transformers, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Ulysses 31, Battle Of The Planets, Robotech and Thundercats, which contrary to popular belief, was actually not made by a Western studio, but by a Japanese one.
@Eel The anime shows I listed were more than likely before your time, yes. Hyper-masculine no, definitely not. The Western shows I mentioned in the first part of my comment definitely, though...
He-Man did always have a moral lesson for the kids at the end of every episode, though. So, as the Dutch would say, completely pedagogically justified.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Ultimately, I was the little brother to a very loud older brother, and well, he was the one who decided what to watch most of the time. He was more into care bears and ducktales than anime.
By the time we grew up a little more, we would mostly just watch nicktoons and cartoon network shows. (That's where I watched Cardcaptor Sakura!)
@ThanosReXXX Not exactly what I meant. I have a pretty nice HDMI solution for my GameCube. I've read about some adapters that upscale the Switch to 4K. Seems unneeded and probably laggy, but I was curious about them nonetheless. I'm not a cat, so I shouldn't get killed. lol

@Link-Hero The "friends being too close" bit was just a joke about how some of these characters are absolutely, and rather obviously, romantically interested on the other person.
Here in Mexico we got a more literal localization. I'm not aware of any major changes, we even got dubbed intro and outro songs based on the originals. I've read about the amazingly butchered version they made for the USA though, it's fascinating how they tried to take it and make a generic action anime out of it.
I liked Tomoyo and her overall attitude as well. Kero as well. The kid that made up stories too.
So anyone know if it's possible to get a 4K tv that isn't a smart tv? I don't need a smart tv cause I use my Xbox Series X for stuff like Netflix and Disney+.

@Eel Ah, the kid brother, aye? I actually was as well, but my older sibling is a sister, and she couldn't have cared less about a bunch of animated TV series, so on Saturday mornings, I had the TV all to myself...
@Heavyarms55 Ah, okay. My bad, then. (all that page browsing for nothing... )
Well, one of the videos in the second "here" link mentioned the mClassic adapter, and that actually IS what you meant. It goes either directly into the console, or into your HDMI upscaler which you may already have plugged in there and works as an additional graphics upgrader/cleaner.
They are not really expensive, but not cheap either: on average, depending on for which console you buy them, (correction: it's now actually one model fits all with the latest version. I was confusing this one with the older cable model) they cost around 80 bucks. Amazon and other major outlets sell them as well, but you can also go straight to the source, seeing as they also have their own web shop: https://www.marseilleinc.com/mclassic/
EDIT:
Scroll down on the main page, click on "Learn More" in the lower right corner and then you go to a page with several videos, the first being a review by Nintendrew and the second and third being videos about the GameCube, which might interest you.
Oh, and it is lagless. The only lag created, if any, will come from your TV itself, so unless that has an above average reaction time or a dedicated game mode, that will ultimately be the offender.
@Tasuki To answer your question, if I may chime in: well, there's a few models out there, but you can literally count them on the fingers of one hand. Or maybe even half a hand...
One model that pops up after a quick search online is the Sceptre: https://helpatmyhome.com/best-non-smart-tv/
That link also mentions another, lesser known brand and a Samsung model.
@ThanosReXXX haha, My brother and I are close enough in age, in that balanced place where as kids, he would be old enough to boss me around, but young enough to be just as childish as me and have similar interests. So yeah, the TV was his π
Sailor Moon Eternal Usagi and Chibiusa transformation. Looks great with 90's style movements.
And i literally got the idea of Super Sailor Moon outfits for my Chibi Boxer / Kickboxer. π
Im new here but I guess this is the place where I can just talk about stuff. Recenlty ive been trying to get our families Wii working again, after a wave of nostalgia for wii sports resort. I could only find the console and the powercord, everything is in boxes in the garage, but recently i also found the aux cable and so then i bought a wireless motion bar and controllers. I cannot wait to play those games again. I would also freak out if they made switch sports resort or something, just imagine what they could do now with the power of the switch. I imagine more games and also the games from the original wii sports, upgraded graphics, and also i think a story mode which takes you around the island beating bosses in all the games would be pretty cool too. Ive thought that Nintendo really likes making money, and I think that making switch sports resort would make them a ton of money, so from that point of view it seems totally likely but as of now there are no signs pointing to it. Ok my rant is done
