@Tyranexx Yeah, these darn coffee machines, all part of the hive mind...
As for adding to the game collection: I don't know if my previous comment came across as intended, but my "fear" or rather: motivation for scouring the internet for games I'm still missing in my collection, is mainly focussed on older titles, specifically because of the fact that the "it's now or never" label is far more prevalent with those titles.
The only exception to that rule that I can think of concerning new games, is Mario 3D All Stars on the Switch. There are probably more examples out there, but that is the only one I succumbed to...
Anyway, ultimately, I decided upon the following games for the 3DS:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.
Star Fox 64 3D
Metroid Prime Federation Force
(yes, I went there)
Ridge Racer 3D
That last title actually wasn't on sale (paid €39,99 for it), but it was one of the last new "still in stock" copies that I could get my hands on, so you'll understand that I simply had no choice in the matter...
The other titles were €19.99, €22, €5, €12 and €8 respectively, so I was able to get a pretty nice stack of games for pretty decent prices.
Current exchange rate from euros to dollars is 1:1.22, to give you an idea of the US equivalent of these prices.
Oh, and I bought one of them Circle Pad Pro contraptions, which with p&p included cost me €52,80. That too was a now or never deal, and seeing as I don't have the New 3DS XL, I also had to get that. Normally a bit too much money, but eh.... I'm okay with it, because I wanted to get one anyway.
@Anti-Matter Well, there actually are a couple of game breaking bugs, but most are just glitches, so errors or graphical bugs. Highly annoying in some cases, and overall just bad programming.
If you go to YouTube and type the following in the search window, you will find plenty of examples of glitches AND game breaking bugs:
Sonic Boom, the WiiU game, is highly unstable and poorly optimized, so it runs very bad. However I believe the main complain against the game is that it is unbearably boring.
Phew...
I have finished Chicken Little PS2 just now.
But during the Final part inside UFO and playing as Ace were HELL !!
It was damn difficult, even harder than Ratchet & Clank games. Added with awkward analog controlling, it was quite hard to jump around the floating panels.
And... I found the game was STRAIGHT Linear.
After you finished the storyline, it was THE END, Game Completed, Nothing you can do after that, just only Mini Games are accessible.
I felt regret to purchase Chicken Little PS2, but at least i finished the game as my responsibility to finish the game after purchased.
Well... I gave the score for Chicken Little PS2 = 5/10 for Unreplayable the previous places. 😒
@ThanosReXXX Alright. I've always been a play it myself kind of guy when playing games. Always took Sonic Boom as a cartoon spin-off game since the cartoon happened. I haven't seen the show until more recent DVD releases, have no cable so the three games were my only experience with the spin-off until then (honest opinion: I felt Fire & Ice was the best of the three).
@MarioLover92 Understandable. Honestly, most of my Generations experience was the 3DS version, really like how the classic era levels for classic Sonic were faithful to the Genesis originals in terms of layout. Haven't played the console version until I upgraded my PC.
@Anti-Matter I'd like to point out that Sonic Boom on Wii U actually got a hefty update. Did fix some of the bugs (keep in mind, not all of them) and polished one of the cutscenes.
Speaking of wii u games. Think I'm grabbing yoshis woolly world today. Pending that no re shadow drops happen today of course. I have 30 in credit ready to go.
@NintendoByNature If you get it, have fun with it. I remember some good times with Yoshi's Woolly World, especially with my nephew. Even remember surprising him with the 3DS version for his birthday, since he always looked forward to playing it when he came over.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy thank you! I played thru crafted world back at launch and loved it so much. Now I'm playing thru with my little guy and I put it on easy mode. He does really well with it and asks to play it all the time. He's on a huge yoshi kick atm. So maybe playing woolly world will keep us both entertained since it'll be new for us lol
@Sunsy I'm more or less of the same mind, not letting myself get too influenced by others or by reviews, unless of course it's such a glowing recommendation and the praise is internet-wide, in which case there must be some merit to it.
Other than that, I do my own research. Good to hear that they released a considerable update for Sonic Boom, but far as I'm concerned, that would have been too little too late. From day one, this game was criticized, and the development cycle was pretty damn sketchy. And considering the engine they used, they most definitely did not squeeze enough out of it, because it still looks decidedly average for an HD game. All red flags to me, or in this case, it was actually a Big Red Button...
I'm very much against "let's release this unfinished/unpolished game and then patch it afterwards" and I'm very much in favor of companies releasing fully functional games on whatever medium they're released, so that I can play/replay them whenever I feel like, without ever having to go onto the internet. But unfortunately, that seems to have become something unique nowadays, with day one patches more or less becoming the industry standard, which to me is equal amounts baffling and infuriating. Oh, well. Nothing we can really do about it, I suppose.
Maybe I'll grab it from the bargain bin some day, when it costs 5 bucks or less.
There is a new game on anounced And I didn't see nintendo life talk about it my sorce is here, Unspottable@KateGray@Liam_Doolan could you make a article for this game?
@Snatcher it doesn't look like it has an online mode which is a shame - especial in a pandemic when it's probably going to be another year before we are able to have friends around.
