@bimmy-lee @NotTelevision did some reading and the theory i like best is that it's a fairy tale for Dani, Not a horror movie. I also googled "attestupe" and it turns out that's a real thing, although an old tradition. So in the modern worlds eyes, it's horrific, but it appears to be a cultural thing that was done for centuries. And their village is that of an old Swedish one with certain rituals /customs that seem odd to us, but normal to them. Think of it like the Amish, I would say thats a good comparison considering they're in their own time while everyone else is in their own. So basically, Dani got her fairy tale ending with acceptance and family, while everyone else well......didnt.

@NintendoByNature - I definitely see where the fairy tail comps come from, it’s shot so beautifully. Sorta weird how almost all the scary stuff happens in broad daylight. It’s a fairy tale on the extreme end of the Grimm spectrum with grotesque pagan rituals, vision quests, selective breeding, and body horror. It’s like Altered States crossed with The Village (if The Village was really good) or maybe The Witch.

@NotTelevision - The scarecrows and the meat have been the longest lasting imagery for me. Just terror. I knew I had seen Take Shelter, but had to google to remember because it’s been a while. It’s a really good one from what I remember, and it’s really well acted.

@Anti-Matter - I see that, they look nice. Are you adding more to the black background? I kind of like them as is, it’s a nice, calm background, and your bright characters really pop.

@NintendoByNature Ohh your right about that. I didn’t realize that actually happened in the past. Kind of reminded me of those myths about Ubasute (abandoning the elderly on a remote mountain), just a more extreme version.

@bimmy-lee yea for sure. It reminded me of the wicker man quite a bit, or the village like you said.
@NotTelevision yeesh..abandonding elderly huh. I almost feel like that's worse than cliff jumping, almost...

@bimmy-lee my dad tells me if he ever gets to the point of not being able to " clean himself" just to wheel him off a cliff. Sounds morbid, but he's sorta joking. I say sorta because he says it with a laugh, but he means every bit.

I bought special metallic rust paints for his gear. To look like real old rusted metal pieces.

Still need to do the hands and the weapon!

@bimmy-lee room temperature water disgusts me. I mean, I’ll drink it if I have to. But it just makes me feel like there’s something wrong with it.

@HobbitGamer - It’s the old, stale water. Maybe even rotten. It has little bubbles in it because it’s been sitting too long. No sir, not for me. I want cold, fresh water. None of this old room temp stuff.

I used to drive and then hike up a little mountain with a friend when I lived in the NW, and about 75% of the way up on the hike, someone had tapped into an unending cold spring, and there was a water line pouring out water so cold it almost hurt to drink it. We would always just sit and drink it for about an hour before we finished the hike, and then refill on the way down. I wish I could just teleport there every time I’m thirsty.

@HobbitGamer @bimmy-lee When my friend lived in southern New Jersey, his tap water tasted like hose water. You know, that plastic taste from a garden house.

I never wanted an insulated water bottle, but wanted a stainless steel bottle. Now that I have an insulated steel bottle, I love how it keeps cold water so long.

@Woomy_NNYes - Oof, yeah, city water can be pretty bad. Ours is super chlorinated. I buy 10 gallons of RO water every week for cooking and drinking and keep filters on the shower heads. We’re saving up for a filtration system. I grew up in a super rural area with well water, and the well was less than 30 yards from a corn/soy field. It was Roundup brand runoff water.

@ThanosReXXX It's a no-touch haunt; customers can be touched (gently) with interactive props though. That's implemented as a safety measure both for the patrons and the actors.

This person didn't even make it past the dress rehearsal and was doing this, without asking or any warning, to other cast members in the break area and in their area of the house. Too much invasion of personal space. If this person had asked and been more respectful of boundaries, they wouldn't have been tossed out.

@Zuljaras Love it! It sort of reminds me of The Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess.

Finished part 3 of Dracula. Felt a bit rushed, but as a whole I enjoyed the series. The name cameos in part 3 were a neat touch.

Back to Witcher. I’ve started to explore more, and have gotten the hang of buff items.

@Heavyarms55 I hear that. I’m halfway through level 9, and still wander into fights and areas I have to run away from in the second area of the world. Reminds me of when I started Fallout 3 and fell into the sewers in Old Olney. Bad times.

I hope this doesn't mean we are going to have to wait to the end of the year for Switch Eshop overhaul and next major Switch firmware update. https://youtu.be/Ppts5TrwFXE
