@bimmy-lee Well, I may have come across them once, but not that I can specifically remember, and the Amish are of course a very isolated society, so even if this came from the Netherlands, then it probably came from the Dutch equivalent of the Amish, which is very strictly religious people living in the local Bible belt, and they often do not share and/or show their way of live. Well, at least not willingly or unnecessarily.
@Tyranexx Good thing you already cleared up the cream pie reference with @bimmy-lee. I would have felt quite uncomfortable to be the one to have to explain that to you, even though it's essentially the natural end result of human coupling, which, thanks to the American adult film industry, has gotten a (for many people probably) rather gross connotation...
@BruceCM Oh, it IS a big deal. Once that "accident" with Janet Jackson had happened during a live show, all the holier-than-though media spoke so badly of it, that ever since this incident, the directors of the Super Bowl have decided to broadcast the "live" event not entirely live anymore, but with a couple of seconds of delay, so that they will be able to intervene and cut out any and all future incidents. Well, assuming they'd all be split second ones, like the aforementioned one...
They'd probably need an entire new set of protocols if something happens that'll last for longer than those couple of seconds, so hissy fits are bound to happen once again, at some point in the not yet determinable future.
@bimmy-lee It would be nice to grab a bundle, but a Switch without a bundled game isn't a deal breaker either. A "couple" of stockpiled Switch games in my storage right now is a bit of an understatement. XD I didn't go completely nuts, but there were some nice physical sales and a couple of special editions that pushed me over the edge more than once.
@BruceCM You'd be surprised how many cartoons back then slipped references past the censors lol. There are videos and articles out there detailing a lot of them. I think a few are coincidences, but the vast majority were pretty deliberate.
@Sunsy I generally agree, though I'm not too into shooters in general. I don't mind some game series with shooting elements like Metroid as long as other elements are included. The Metroid series also has some exploration, puzzle solving, cool boss fights, and neat lore to go along with the shooting.
@ThanosReXXX Nope, no need to explain that one lol. I admittedly find that I'm occasionally in the dark about a few said references, but I'm unsure how much of that is "new" verbage (learned the meaning of a term on a completely unrelated subject recently that I didn't know was a reference to something) or my last shred of innocence somehow staying out of the gutter on occasion....
My cartoon reference to that came from an episode of The New Batman Adventures. The one that featured the Creeper, I think.

I've missed the last couple of days on here. I was out with the flu or food poisoning. It's slowly going away but I still have a pounding headache. How has everyone been?
Well, @ThanosReXXX, I guess families watch stuff like that, so it probably makes sense, overall Not something I'm going to worry about, though!
Since I haven't seen any official animated Batman, @Tyranexx, I'll take your word for that There's certainly explicit unofficial animations around for it & plenty of others
@BruceCM Unless you're really not into DC characters or animation in general, I highly recommend watching a lot of the DC Animated Universe (DCAU) cartoons if you get the chance. Not all of the shows are essential, but a lot of the plot arcs are well-written and treat the watching audience like they're intelligent.

@NintendoByNature You're welcome, I think that's the best thing to do when sick. I usually find myself resting just to get better sooner whenever I'm sick.
@NintendoByNature - Hope you’re better today... UNless this is you covering your tracks in an elaborate ruse to stay at home and play LA ahead of Saturday when nobody is around?
@bimmy-lee haha I actually was hoping my wife would be like "here ya go, you feel so sick that it's ok for you to play it a little early." But in all honesty, I couldve played the entire day and all I wanted to do was sleep. Today I'm feeling a lot better, but still a mild headache which was much worse when I woke up this morning.
@NintendoByNature - I hear you, I definitely still get that twinge of excitement on the rare sick day that I’m gonna play games alllllll day long; and then I just sleep and the entire day feels like it’s five minutes long.
@Sunsy It really depends on the portrayal. Tbh I've never really tried the Splatoon series; most of my exposure has been military and futuristic shooters, both of which I'm not fond of for various reasons. I think I'd like Splatoon 2 overall but wouldn't bother with a lot of the online matchups lol. I'm a pretty casual player when it comes to stuff like that.
@BruceCM You and me both! Other than some YouTube on occasion - usually when I'm eating dinner - I don't watch much. XD
@NintendoByNature Yuck. That stuff is never fun; I had a particularly bad bout in college. As an adult, staying home sick rarely means you're up to doing much else besides sleep (Been there, done that). Hope you feel back to 100% soon!
I'd wait on LA until your bday. It'll feel much sweeter when you get to finally run around Koholint on the actual day of, IMO.

@bimmy-lee that was my favorite part of staying home from school as a kid. It just meant a straight gaming day the entire time. Now, with my age, I'd rather sleep. I just couldn't muster up the strength to do anything else. @tyranexx I'm waiting.....and waiting.....and waiting...dont worry 😓. Only a few days left. Every time i walk past the package( dreamer edition), my heart flutters. It's so close but yet so far. And thankfully as of this afternoon. I'm 90% back to normal..just a very mild headache but manageable.
@Tyranexx Alright. Splatoon is really fun IMHO, I've played both single player and online modes, though will be honest, never did get around to finishing the single player portions of both Splatoon and Splatoon 2. Though I did enjoy what I played.
I would say I'm casual with online play. In Splatoon, I usually just stick to Turf Wars in both games, and when playing CS:GO, I usually just play casual mode instead of competitive. I'm not a competitive person, so I usually just play the "for fun" online modes instead of ranked or competitive.
