@StableInvadeel Don't you hate it when you you get the main part of your $200-$5,000 toy....but you can't do anything with it but look at it sit there because you're missing the $0.99 accessory that's required to actually use it correctly for a few more days?

Haven't got any accessories with mine, @StableInvadeel .... Been playing it plenty! Screen protector & case, if you are taking it out, I suppose?

Yeah, I ordered the hori screen and system protector kit, and one of their carrying cases.

I just don't feel right using it without at least a screen protector. Because it's super dusty in here and basically the environment actively tries to scratch your screens.

That's what you get when you live in Amsterdam, lots of things are completely unrestricted and uncensored over here. It's not exactly a cesspool, but at least over here, nobody would have lost any sleep over, or wouldn't have jumped into a hissy fit when a certain singer exposed a certain body part from another singer during the Super Bowl, and we're allowed to listen to songs as they're meant to be sung, all day long. No alternate version of Ceelo's "Forget You"...

@HobbitGamer So, have you recovered a bit, or are your sides still hurting?

I had a coworker join the Legion of Switching. He bought the normal Switch along with Link's Awakening but said most of his time has been spent playing Tetris 99. XD

@HobbitGamer Mine is really breezing by too. The weird thing about Mondays (and why I usually pour more work time into them vs. the rest of the week) is that they generally go by fast.

@BruceCM The only thing that comes to my mind related to the cream pie reference is from a certain scene from the DCAU Batman cartoons involving Harley Quinn. XD

Tetris 99 is honestly super fun. I play at least a couple rounds almost every day. Honestly it's become my go-to quick session game. But it's easy to keep saying "just one more round".

I got some new cases for my Switch games. I never really liked the Hori cases, too brittle and too tight. I got these ones from a company I never heard of before called Kenntech. But the games are held in place with foam and the body is a much stronger, less brittle feeling plastic. It also claims to be waterproof, but I don't feel the need to test that.

@Heavyarms55 I’ve been playing a little Tetris almost every day since the challenge update. I’ve gotten better, and all the different themes have kept it fresh for me.

@ThanosReXXX - Oh, I see, you thought I was talking about Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Cream Pie snacks. Nope, just good old cream pies. Google it, I dare you.

In all seriousness, have you heard of/had sugar cream pie? They’re pretty common with the Dutch Amish in my parts. Maybe they originate in your adopted homeland? Could just be a peasant pie they started making here in the US as well. You’re right about UGG as well, you could say the entire point is to ruin people’s days by goosing them.

@Tyranexx Nice to see he's having fun with his Switch. Tetris 99 is a lot of fun, and honestly my favorite Battle Royale game. I've tried Fortnite, didn't enjoy playing it, and I did enjoy Apex Legends on PC for a bit before toxic teammates ruined the fun. Tetris 99 is one I enjoy coming back to from time to time.

I need to eventually pick up Link's Awakening, the Game Boy Color version is actually the first Zelda game I ever played and beaten. It holds a special place with me.

@RedderRugfish - Hey, glad you’re back. I was wondering about you last week and almost called on you, but I pretty much need to reply to a post of yours because of your name! It’s simultaneously exactly like ReaderRagfish, and also the opposite of it.

@Tyranexx - You already have a Switch game card or two, right? So you’re stocked, just waiting for the right moment on the hardware. The cream pie reference is innuendo of a nature that excludes it even from naked pixie games.

@Sunsy I like puzzle games, so I think Tetris 99 would be more my speed as well. Most other Battle Royale formats like Fortnite or PUBG aren't really my style.

@bimmy-lee Pretty much. I almost jumped recently and bought one, but I've decided to hold off until near the holidays at this point. The upcoming five weeks are pretty busy IRL due to my previously mentioned volunteer side job, a (normal) job-related conference towards the end of October, and various happenings besides, so I don't think I'd get much time to properly enjoy it then.

Also....Yes, I have a pretty good idea of what said innuendo translates to. XD

@Tyranexx - Ah, sorry, I thought I read that you didn’t understand the reference. There has to be some kind of holiday deal or bundle this year. Hopefully with some sort of joy con revision. I fixed the drift on the left with the canned air maneuver, but I don’t want to buy a second pair unless this is a permanent fix, or they revise.

@bimmy-lee For the record, it is actually really easy to swap analogue sticks in joycon. Just a couple screws and on ribbon cable. You can get the tri-wing screw driver and replacement stick on Amazon pretty easily.

It's lame so many people have had issue with them, but thankfully it is an easy fix. Personally I've not had to, but I know how because I've replaced the shells on two sets of joycons, and part of that process is removing the stick.

Since I'm in the UK, @ThanosReXXX, I don't watch Superbowl.... Saw a clip of that incident but hadn't realized it was such a big deal there
Can't say I've seen any of the animated Batman, @Tyranexx! If there's scenes like that in them, I might do so

@Heavyarms55 - I read up on it a bit, and it does look pretty easy with the proper tools. It seems like the only trick is to get the ribbon cable in place properly before they go back together. I lived with the drift for a long time, and the canned air did the trick for now. I’ll see if/when the left starts drifting again, and make a decision at that point.

I’m not too bitter, I actually love the joy con. It’s my favorite Nintendo pack in controller since the trident. The materials seem a bit sub Nintendo standard, but it could easily be my fault. I’m not finicky with them. I’ve dropped them multiple times, and I oftenly have a beverage and/or a snack while I play. Wouldn’t surprise me to open them up and find salt from peanut butter filled pretzels glued to the stick with IPA.

Guys I am little angry at myself for not pre-ordering the Limited Edition of Zelda. It is gone now.
I was going to treat myself for my birthday but now I have to deal with the standard edition

@bimmy-lee I can safely say that the ribbon cable is very easy to connect or disconnect so long as you have a simple pair of tweezers. It slides right in and there is a tiny latch that holds it in place. Unless you have shaky hands, it should be no issue.

It's a bummer that people even need to consider it, but it's nice that it's an easy fix. If the stick were soldered to the board, that would make it a much bigger problem...

@Tyranexx Me too, though I haven't tried PUBG myself. When it comes to online games, I prefer arena-style shooters over battle royale personally. Like Splatoon, Paladins, or Counter-Strike, something that isn't on a big map.
