@Dogorilla Ah, I didn't know you were in the spectrum as well. Hope I didn't say anything offensive to you. Either way, I know there's all sorts and levels of autism, from the people that I know and mentioned, so I guess that it's pretty much the same as people without autism: some are simply more sensitive than others. In that case, I suppose it's then more the whole origin thing and looking at life and core values differently than us Westerners, because otherwise, I wouldn't know what else would explain his behavior. But anyways, you're right: enough of that.
As for the ignore button: I think it is defeatism, because it prompts YOU to virtually "walk away"/step out of a conversation with an obnoxious person or simply an non-constructive conversation, so you could see it as "protecting" yourself, or being the wisest of the two by leaving it, but in fact it is you putting restrictions upon yourself for something that someone else did. That's like the online equivalent of you taking the blame for someone, for whatever reason, and that is why I don't like it and will never use it. And it's also the easy way out, so that's another reason for me. Life isn't easy, and sometimes, you need to be able to stomach some adversity, otherwise you'll never grow a backbone. I hope you don't interpret that as too harsh or personal, because it's meant to be constructive and mostly as an explanation of my own reasoning.
On a side note: we're all just scribblers here, some better than others, and this thread is not just about drawing or painting, so if you have any cool photos, clay sculptures, woodworks or whatever, then feel free to share.
@TheJGG Yep, that's pretty much what it is, but we already know what will happen, for the most part, so yeah... Oh, well. Guess we'll just have to look forward to art that actually IS differentiating and inspiring enough, such as some of the other stuff that has already been posted here. And besides that, I already said everything I wanted to say in comments #1,129 and #1,132 so let's move on, shall we?
Did you ever mention before that you're also in the spectrum? Either way, same goes to you: hope I didn't offend by bringing that topic up.
@ThanosReXXX Aw, heck no! I'm not officially diagnosed but it's very obvious I am. I've read a number of books on psychology and comparing my own behaviour to those mentioned when correlated to autism, so they match up very well. Running away from topics like this means they'll eventually become taboo, which defiles the purpose of the word "taboo".
If you can carry on with what you are doing despite being playfully mocked, them it empowers what you do. Highlights someones passion to be frank. I can make fun of myself (no one has the right to mock others if you can't mock yourself) and I'm my own worst ctitic. But without it, you get complacent and boring.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@Zuljaras 40K is in a really good place at the moment. They are in the process of rewriting the rules for the different armies for 9th edition, but as they go, they are making each one really varied and useful. Still no Leman Russ though. Been waiting for his return since Rogue Trader lol.
The previous edition had far too many shenanigans that just wasn't in the spirit of the game.
@ThanosReXXX Don't worry, nothing you said was offensive. And I don't entirely agree with you about the ignore function but that's fine, there are worse things to disagree on.
I don't really have any kind of art I can share here at the moment, but I wouldn't mind getting into photography some day. Maybe I'll post some photos on here if I ever get round to that. Until then I'll just appreciate other people's pictures; I really like @GrailUK and @TheJGG's posts from today
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@TheJGG Ah, I see. Well, of course it's up to the individual, but personally, I'm not really a big fan of so-called self-diagnosis, especially when aided/guided by the internet. And I would tread very lightly with labeling myself as something when it's not officially confirmed, especially when it concerns a mental or medical condition. Not a judgment, mind you, just an observation.
@Zuljaras Well, the books and the table top games came first, the computer games came much, much later. And seeing as the origin of the games is table top strategy, that is the type of game that you should try out, if you want to get a good idea of what it is about and where it all started.
A good place to start and one game which is closest to the origin of that real life Space Marines table top game, is Space Hulk: Tactics. If that even remotely piques your interest, then I can heartily recommend it.
But, it is VERY boardgame-like, so it could be a bit dry for fans/players of native turn-based on the computer, which is usually a bit more interactive, or a mix between turn-based and RTS.
And if you want something a LOT more action-oriented, then you might want to try out Warhammer 40.000 - Space Marine which is a great game with some hilarious kill moves, once you get the hang of it. I know I've certainly enjoyed my time with it.
And you're right, it's a LOT to take in and there's a lot of different games, but the stories all overlap or flow over into each other, so it's kinda like an interconnected hub with several game types to try out. Some people want to stay on the light side of the lore and just want to shoot or hack and slash, and others want to go more the RPG route, and actually DO want to learn more about the world and the history, which by the way, is really interesting, far as I'm concerned.
On a side note: if you do like to read sci-fi books, then you could definitely do worse than get yourself a couple of Space Marine/Warhammer 40k novels. As mentioned, the lore is really great and interesting, and it'll add to your gameplay experience.
@Dogorilla Very true. Just because it isn't for me, doesn't mean that others should agree with me. That's what personal views and opinions are for, and that's perfectly fine. Long as both sides can keep an open mind, and in the worst case scenario, can agree to disagree, then we'll all be fine...
@ThanosReXXX I’m not a fan of it either, believe me. I hate it when people go around saying they suffer from depression just because they listen to Billie Eilish. That trivialises something so serious, that it’s just disgusting. Depression is no joke, I knew someone with it, and it was miserable. It’s a sapping force that takes away any and all happiness in the room.
I’m not a hypocrite though, I do believe my research, not only on medical sources on the Internet but also several psychology books, backs up my claim. I wouldn’t say I’m on the spectrum unless I’m absolutely 100% sure I am.
@TheJGG Not implying you are, but no matter the amount of research, it's still self-diagnosis which, unless you have a suitable medical degree, does not qualify as an official verdict, no offense.

None taken at all, @ThanosReXXX ! Absolutely right as usual, so I’ll make sure to add a psychiatric assessment next time I land in hospital! May as well, but I’m not gonna walk in without any other reason to. I’ll keep ya posted whether it’s tomorrow or next year!
This one took longer. I know that some details are not up to par but I am quite happy how he tuned out

"Marcus the Fallen Archangel.
I wanted to make sure that there is a duality in his design. For me Archangels (unlike regular Angels) are impossible to be corrupted on 100%. So that is why one half is Angel and the other is corrupted demonic half."
@Zuljaras Nice drawing, and interesting perspective, how you look at it. Normally, you'd expect the weaker, lower angels to be more easily swayed, and not the archangels, who are quite a few steps above the regular winged individuals...

@ThanosReXXX Ahh that is why I said on 100%. I mean there will always be something angelic in them. While the lower class angels could become full on monstrosities
