Down to two left (Forretress and Houndoom). My new anti-ice strategy has sort of paid off. I finally beat Forretress but only had a 24% chance and missed. After my last experience with Houndoom I wasn't willing to buy a Great Ball when it only had a 48% chance. The I went ahead and bought it for the other ice one because it Super-ed up to a MAX chance.
mmhmm, sounds like a slow week so maybe i can make progress on the main stages finally, 310 to 320 feels like paywall after paywall -.-
but i had a good sunday w meowth so i got lotsa coins and im ready for anything!
I think I made a record amount of coins in Meowth's stage: 10,100. After deducting the +5 Moves, it yield a 9,300 coins profit.
I'm standing at 68k coins and 9 jewels just before tackling both Uxie and Absol (which I didn't get last time, as I was abroad with no Internet access). By the way. it is Uxie an Escalation or just a very hard level?
i dont mind the grind really, 5 mins every 2 hours is a good excuse to take a break from other games and reality, but sometimes i like to feel like im making progress instead of grinding all week just to s rank 2 stages and hopefully catch the lil buggers XD
Thankfully we have the Safari as well as the Special, One-A-Day Pokemons to spice things up.
I feel that the Escalation and Competition battles don't really add much to the progress of the game, but are ways that Nintendo use just to get us to spend some money on jewels and stuff (I finally gave in and spent 5 bucks the other day to get 12 jewels). For a game that I spent most of my gaming nowadays is not much.
I catched Uxie on my first try, no items. Finished with 4 moves left and the catchability was around 30%. No super ball, but got a B rating. Used M-Gengar, Darkrai, Genesect and Giratina (all maxed, of course).
The Survival Mode is way too punishing. I managed to beat level 10 with a really strong set of Pokemon (that you can't change until the end), but failed at level 11 (Slowbro). You keep getting +5 Moves every time you beat a Pokemon, but I arrived at level 11 with 8 moves which were not enough to beat Slowbro. I took M-Gengar, Garchomp, Palkia and Xerneas. I received a Exp Boost M Candy, meant to increase a Pokemon's Exp points.
The Mission Card is a nice way to earn rewards. Anyone doing the Safari still, might manage to beat part of Mission Cards 1 and 2 (make 10-20 combos). Some are ridiculous, like making an exact 20 combo or beating Mega Mewtwo Y with no items (it can be done, but...). You earn starts by beating accomplishing some feats, and unlock some prizes.
Some Pokemons received a nice coat of paint, like Blissey and Torchic!!
Gold recommendations for some Pokemons are a bit off. Like 2-gold badges for Goodra?! (overrated), and just one for Delphox (my favorite Fire Pokemon, along with M-Blaziken). Also, Lucario should receive 3 gold badges.
Rapid stage switching is very useful, as well as the list of S-ranks (no more counting!)
I thought about just grinding Meowth all week long. Not anymore!
@Rikaria: I checked the guide, even though I already finished the first two card missions. Just two suggestions:
For the 35,000+ HP stage, go to Snorlax. Is the only stage where, if you S-ranked, you already had like 40k+ points. So, since I hadn't S-ranked, I used a DD and a +5Moves, finished with 28 moves left (phew!!) and with 41+ points.
Also, the Misson Card 1 can be done in one swoop: do the Ampharos' stage, bring Camerupt, Pinsir, M-Audino and a Barrier Bash+ (I brought Reshiram). Try to get rid of the ice and doing 4-combos to achieve two card objectives. But you must clear the ice and have M-Audino evolved (easy), ideally, before Ampharos starts disrupting (when there are 35 moves left) to have a clear shot at making a 10+ combo. I managed to both get the 3, 4-combos and triggering M-Audino's effect 4 times, but I had already accomplished the first goal, making the 10+ combo, in another stage before.
The game has frozen on me thrice now. Every time I select the Mission Card to look at the objectives, it takes me to the Home Menu. Anyone with the same problem?
Time to do a backup of the SD card just in case...
Have anyone beat the challenge involving Throh? You have to break 50 rocks, but only 36 appear before the last move. I bought a +5Moves and managed to destroy 48 rocks, before the very last move. Any suggestions? (short of bringing a Prank Pokemon to disrupt when the rocks appear, like Ralts, don't know what else to do. And no, I'm not prolonging the stage by failing to finish it and using a jewel, for crying out loud).
New update is pretty awesome... I'm kinda broke in Shuffle and havent had time to grind lately, but I've already got some items thanks to those mission cards.
I'm getting really fed up with the Safari though. For over a week now I've been playing it and have only battled Noctowl twice. I've had everything else caught for days now but Noctowl's the last one I need and I haven't been able to catch it. >:[
