The arcade scene in the West isn't completely dead, but it's certainly less vibrant and varied than in Japan. It's not just that Japanese arcades have incredible machines, old and new, but some of the amusements also offer awesome prizes.
As an example we have the following prizes that, if we're making sense of the Japanese text correctly, will be found in timed batches as prizes at Taito-run locations. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Super Mario franchise, the mix of plushes, wall stickers and more are hard to resist.
Some lovely items, and yes - we'd happily buy some of these if they ever went up for sale in the West. Would you?
