North American 3DS owners can try out upcoming action adventure Heroes of Ruin with a free demo on 5th July.
The trial will be playable in single-player or multiplayer, both on and offline, and serves as a neat introduction to n-Space's ambitious 3DS game.

Man, as this news piles up, I keep getting a better perspective of just how awesome of a month July is gonna be for the eShop. NES Zelda and Heroes of Ruin demo in the same week seems like a dream come true, but then there's so many other things to follow...

I still can't believe that not only did we have to wait over a week after it was realeased in the UK, and like a month after they got their demo, but that they are releasing this demo only slightly over a week before the game hits stores. Why wouldn't you have it out longer to give the hype more time to grow?

I already pre-ordered a copy at Amazon for only $29.99. The only problem is the, "Free Super Saver Shipping" option, requires 5-8 days for delivery, so I'll probably miss out on 5-8 Daily Challenges and possibly the first Weekly Challenge. I can always cancel my pre-order, if I really don't enjoy the demo next week.

If this is the same as the Euro Demo then it has some good and bad points...
the good is, online and offline available in demo (up to 4 players), A full main Quest with smaller quests and a good side quest, TWO of the four character classes to try out with character customisation.
The bad is that we only got 6 plays of the demo!!! …oh, and no voice chat and a level cap of 4.
Its the first demo where I used up all my plays and we only got it a week before the game came out, you guys will have to strerch it to two weeks...
oh, and I dont think the online will be compatible with the full game because the quest isnt quite the same as the one in the main game.

as others I too am on the fence about this title.... a demo could either isnpire me to pre-order, or take it off my to get list.

It is nice to see a demo, and one that allows online, one of the most important features of the game.
I am still not sure about this one, so I welcome the demo. The fact that it is released so close to Theatrhythm and Rhythm Thief does not help things.

Man, I have TOO many games to play this month! Getting Theatrhythm next week, though I know I plan to buy Heroes of Ruin and can't see why I wouldn't, I definitely plan to play the demo. Just got Bomb Monkey, and assuming the second virtual console game that is released next week is something I want... just... so much! I also want all four GameBoy games coming out this month. Man, it's like Nintendo knows my birthday is coming up

Is it just me, or does the level layout and even some of the characters (shark people, etc) seem very similar to Skylanders?
