Oh boy!

Here's a curious one: Disney has just registered a trademark for Castle of Illusion that explicitly states it refers to video game cartridges, discs and software.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse was a much-loved release back on the Mega Drive, and although it's unlikely this trademark could point towards the game's re-release on Virtual Console.

However, it's much more likely this trademark relates somehow to the much-rumoured Disney Epic Mickey 2 which has been doing the rounds on the Internet rumour mill for the past few months.

Of course, companies register and re-register trademarks all the time and it may simply be a case of Disney renewing its ownership of the Castle of Illusion mark to stop it falling dormant.
