Topic: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

The first installment of the Mario & Luigi series and still my personal favorite is coming to the Wii U VC in the coming days. This thread is for any discussion about the game and whether or not you plan on getting it for Wii U VC.

I didn't complete this when I had it on GBA, looking forward to its re-release on Wii U.

I just finished this game. GREAT story, and GREAT gameplay. I loved every moment of it... as well as the Hard-as-Nails Final boss!

I played it back when it came out on GBA. Good game. Might get it again.

I've got fond memories of this game. Played it start to finish on the Gameboy Player when it first came out and thought it was hilarious and a blast to play. Second only to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, this game's writing is probably my favorite out of any Nintendo game I've ever played. And let's be honest, as far as villians go, it's pretty hard to top Fawful.

I just happened to buy this and Yoshi's Island when I could have saved that money for the Wii U support. Oh well.

Still own it on GBA. Fantastic game.

Might pick up the WiiU version.

Does it still have rumble like it did on the GCN GameBoy Player?

I was considering using the save states to keep a save file for Mario bros, bur that may cause some problems. Anyone knows how to delete the save state?

Nope, the game still thinks its on a gba.

I'm going through that "Have to get a bunch of money for the beanbean leader to let bowser go' part, so just started, really.

How long is the game, by the way?

I'd say the game's about...15 hours? It's a bit shorter than the Paper Mario games.

I remember It being about as along as Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario.

You guys told me to get it, so I went with this game...since I have a capture device, I ended up making a comparison image. (was curious, lol) What you think?

I just played it less than a year ago for the DT release. Now I just started another file on the WiiU version.
But on my tv, Mario and Luigi both of black squares of black for their eyes when they face the screen. It's kind of creepy, but luckily it doesn't look the same on the WiiU gamepad.

Um...how do I beat the boss at Woohoo Hooniversity?

I love the smoothing option they added to these games.

Man, I have to get this game at some point. I freaking loved Bowser's Inside Story. Also gotta restart Partner's In Time and grab Dream Team someday.

I will say that, IMO Inside story and superstar saga were the best of the series. And, you might want to think about skipping dream team: it has too much filler and the story falls flat when compared to the better titles in the series.
