I tried playing Super Mario 64 with the Classic Controller Pro and found a very strange bug. Whenever I'd move Mario forward, he'd make these odd jerking motions, like he was pulling to the right. Don't think it was the controller's fault cause Ocarina of Time didn't have that problem.
Unplug the controller and plug it in again. Or hit the home button, go to your Wiimote settings, and disconnect/reconnect the Wiimote.
I did unplug the controller but it didn't fix it. I'm thinking it's a problem with the analog stick, like maybe it's not calibrated properly. This glitch happened every time I'd play the game with the CC Pro, so I guess I have a faulty controller.
does that same controller give you similar problems while playing other games that allow you to use the CC as an option? that would definitely nail the controller itself as the problem, because I've never heard anyone else complain about SM64 doing that to them. i doubt it's the game itself that's glitching out on you.

Well, if Ocarina Of Time does work correctly, I'd say that the problem is within the software (Mario 64) itself. I don't use the Classic Controller Pro so I can't tell you if the problem is a common one...

All the other buttons work fine with my NES, Super NES, Genesis, etc. games. I tried the controller on Ocarina of Time and don't remember encountering that bug. So maybe it is the controller that's faulty.

Why do you assume it's the controller if all the other games work fine with it? Try resetting Mario 64, and if it still acts up try redownloading it. I've had that same problem before and just a quick reset fixed it I think.

So it's an issue of the emulator programming? Like they didn't optimize the game for Classic Controllers?

No the emulation should be fine. I don't have a CC Pro, but there was a couple of times when I used a Gamecube controller for it Mario would be pulling to one direction. Just try resetting the game and make sure when it starts up the analog stick is centered.
I'd redownload it. I had a similar issue with The Legend of Zelda on VC, where my A and B buttons would randomly trigger when I didn't press them, and sometimes even switched functions (I'd press A and B would trigger). I felt like it HAD to be my controller, but other games worked fine. I finally deleted and redownloaded the software and it worked fine. Your save game is seperate from the VC game itself, so there's no harm in trying.
