Not sure what you're getting at there, Kid A. M&L is clearly 2D. There is no camera. Boring series anyway... Oh wait, PixelMan heard that.
**PixelMan attacks! **Adam dodged quickly. **Adam tries to run away. **Ran away successfully.
Because Mario & Luigi has a more 3-D camera angle than Spirit Tracks or Phantom Hourglass, and yet you argue that they're 2-D. M&L is a 3-D game with 2-D sprites, and the DS Zelda's are 2-D games with 3-D elements.

A "camera angle" can't be "more 3D." It's either 3D or it isn't. There aren't degrees to a dimension. The dimension is either there or it isn't. M&L is about as 3D as Battletoads, which also has sprite-based graphics and lets you move in four directions and jump. And yet you'd be hard pressed to find someone who mistakes the game for 3D.
The difference of being able to look at the stars or look around in any direction u want isn't a big deal to you in terms of experiencing a game? Imagine you woulden't be able to do that in real life! Maybe gaming is not an emotional experience for u? It's not only the practical facets that make a game(world) what it is! The ability to look into the distance makes a big difference to me! This can't be done in A link to the past or in the DS zelda's (apart from when u are travelling).
I was thinking of the game as a game, not as any other kind of experience. Not that I'm devaluing your view on the game -- not at all -- just stating my point of view. I can safely say I've never looked at the stars in a Zelda game. I didn't realize there were stars in the game. The only time I can think of when they actually use day and night is in Hyrule Field for OoT/TP, and those areas are so small and boring that I always just run straight through them without fighting any of the enemies. I was never impressed by the 3D Zeldas enough to even think of them that way, but I can certainly see now how you'd value that.
EDIT: You have got to use the edit button, man. Double posting generally goes against forum etiquette, and triple posting is just over the top, especially considering the short amount of time between posts.
Haha ok Adam i didn't know about the etiquette of forums since i'm quite new to posting and forums. Compliments on your responses and i'm enjoying the discussion!
Haha, no problem, I figured you were new since I hadn't seen you posting much before. Glad you're posting more now! Double posting just makes it a bit hard to sift through posts since one user's posts can take up most of the page -- not a big deal if only done rarely. Pretty much every post I've ever made is edited a bazillion times because I'm a bit obsessive over my own wording. The edit button is our friend!
I can definitely see your point about the cinematic/emotional experience. Zelda is just not a series that has ever felt so compelling that I've wanted to just soak it all in, or whatever. In fact, I still think Link to the Past has a greater sense of emotion than the rest of the series. Every last thing is alive with sound and color, and the switch to the Dark World is such a drastic change. Twilight Princess, on the other hand, just drowns everything out in brown or black, depending on which world you're in, and has this overwhelmingly moody music. For me personally, that beats out any desire to think of it emotionally for fear I'll just become depressed, haha.
Well, a major title such as Zelda would be released on a Sunday rather than a Monday, so... possibly just a placeholder for "November".
That's typically what Gamespot does. If they don't have an exact release date they'll just say it's the first day of whatever month it's expected to release in.

I really hope they don't increase the number of pieces again. I would like to see full heart containers become easier to acquire (the first two games had only heart containers, no heart pieces), and I would like to see extra heart containers become necessary for survival (i.e. opponents that do more than 1/4 heart damage).
Drop: -Magic (unnecessary and annoying. I'm glad Spirit Tracks and TP dropped it)
You didn't like Farore's Wind, Din's Fire, and Nayru's Love? I thought those spells were awesome, personally. The Fire/Ice/Light Arrows were also just fine, but not entirely necessary. Also, Shield, Jump, Life, Fairy, Spell, and Thunder. I would like to see more magic.
It would be nice if they had adjustable difficulty. Easy, Medium, Hard. (Koriki, Goron, Hyrulian)?? Also I'd like to see a return of the Magic meter. On the TP box there is a shot of Link fighting with a magic meter on screen, so it must have been a development point. Would like to see more than 8 dungeons, but still keep the Find 3 items that relate, go to temple of time, yet again pull put master sword, go find another 3 items, dungeon, last dungeon. Put like a full dungeon inbetween for some story, like someone got stolen and you have to save them cause there their one of the seven sages. OH MA GUD. 7 Dungeons, 1 for each sage after the first 3. YES PLEASE NINTENDO. And I want a Hylian backstory again, with the godesses, and the king of hyrule?? I dunno, just food for thought.
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
