To anyone mentioning Zelda, the game isn't confirmed for 2010, and in fact seems highly unlikely to make it in 2010 given how they've only just started asking basic developmental questions toward the end of the summer, according to interviews. Console Zelda games typically take well over a year to create. You can't anticipate a game of 2010 that isn't a game of 2010.
Oh well, I'm not much of an IGN fan as I was back in the finer years where bias never reigned supreme but now... I think the Nintendo team has gone off the deep end. Their reviews (some of them) are good but whenever they review some good titles that turned out bad in their eyes, fanboys in the comments "celebrate" the fact that Wii isn't the real deal.
Most times I think the reviews weren't done properly (just look at their Mixed Messages review compared to ours! They even gave it a Best Multiplayer on DS award! Really?) and that's why I don't really like the site as much as I did. Whenever I need a good video review, Gametrailers is the one I look for.
Staying on-topic, a (multiplatform) WiiWare game and a well-deserved sequel. That's it? The fact that they didn't mention Other M ticked me off. When they did the rewind theater for the trailer, they were all in praise. (I guess the hype turned down a notch since no new info came out yet.) IGN's Nintendo team now is definitely a shell of their former: biased reviews and weak scores compared to what the other teams are doing, scoring good games that they have a liking for.
IGN has listed their most anticipated games for 2010, and with all the amazing Wii games coming out, they only put two of them on their list: Mega Man 10 (which is probably multiplatform) and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Not even Metroid: Other M made their list!
Well they are upset because their theory of "Wii is just a temporal success" is going down the toilet. November sales on Usa: Wii 1.2 million DS/DSI: 1.7 million 360: 800.000 PS3: 715.000
A note for the dumba** who wrote the trashing review on ign.com about FF Chrystal Bearers: The race that it's almost extinct is Yuke. YUKE!!!!!!
The fact that they didn't mention Other M ticked me off.
How on earth can that tick you off? It's their most anticipated games list, not yours. It's not like they're saying it's going to be bad. I can barely understand how people get upset over bad reviews, but this? It makes no sense. So they're anticipating Galaxy 2 and MM10 more. I can't blame them. We know more about both titles. Project M is completely unpredictable, and we know almost nothing about Other M.
Seriously, I was soooo angry when I realised what games had been omitted from the holy list of IGNness. I am currently boycotting IGN whilst spamming the boards there, and preparing a petition. They will pay for this!
To force IGN into not sharing there own personal opinions, even though they have earned the right to do so. In future, they must scour the boards so as to gauge what the public might like to hear. Or perhaps, run a poll before releasing any kind of list which may offend or enrage others (as it has me).

What annoys me about that site is the lack of content. I've been checking it for over a week and there's no new wii articles or reviews. Nothing. Just one person's meager list of missing VC titles. IGN is lazy and you don't care!

Yeah they haven't updated for awhile. The site's Nintendo section is going downhill. And, while I get the joke, I really don't care. EDIT: Btw, in light of Adam's post, I'm not saying their Ninty section is dying just because of the lack of updates, but a couple other reasons as well.
They always take a break at the end of the year. There really isn't any news to report this time of year anyway, and believe it or not, some people take vacations. It's the holidays.

What really killed my interest for the site is the god-awful piece of crap board. It is basically controlled by haters of the Nintendo Wii. It seems that the moderators are so serious about trolling Microsoft/Sony but they let you do anything to Nintendo. I'm somewhat glad I'm permanently banned from the boards because at least I won't have to deal with that stupendousness again. i think i've already warned you to watch your mouth before, dude. :/ -- TBD
Agreed, IGN is always quiet at Christmas/New Year, hell, you'll be lucky to see any updates worth mentioning on any given weekend.
The reason the Wii site has gone downhill of late is because Matt and Mark got bored, and the chimps who replaced them, are just that.
The beginning of the end was when the Nintendo team got given the responsibility of reviewing iPhone games. If you want to blame anyone for wii.ign's demise, blame Apple. I do!

I blame Apple's iphone for killing off the IGN retro site. That was great for a while before they took Levi away for iphone reviews.
The retro site was always updated with news and reviews and an awesome podcast. But now I don't think they have updated the retro site in months.
Project M is completely unpredictable, and we know almost nothing about Other M.
To be honest we know almost nothing about SMG2 & MM10 also, everyone's just assuming what the games will be because they're sequels of other games that did well.
Flandre Scarlet, she's cute, she's colorful, she can blow up entire cities, she's also a vampire. Start running sparklepants.

But we have a good idea of the premise and gameplay of both and we already know what MM10 will be like. (looks at 1-9)
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.

Both developers have stated that the games will play very similar to their predecessors, and all footage so far confirms that. So if you liked the original, you're likely anticipating the sequel. Other M, however, is not closely based on any previous Metroid game play, so we can't really guess at how well it'll work. Furthermore, Other M has a very different team and marks what I think is a first for Nintendo, merging one of their teams with a well-known outside team. SMG2 and MM10 are being worked on by the same teams as their predecessors. There are far more unknowns associated with Other M right now. I'm personally more excited about Other M than Galaxy, but Galaxy was a Game of the Year for IGN, so it's no surprise they care more about Galaxy 2.
