do you think a wario world sequel world work on wii u? you could use gamepad for a map to fine where you have go, collect treasure for wario, heck give him more powers to use, when he farts (like in smash bros) he could jump higher, one of The Spritelings can also be a DLC shop where you can get extra levels to complete, or use wario's amiibo to unlock more wario's moves in the game,
or when he doing the puzzle things (i forgot what they are called) if there was a harder mode they could make puzzles more challenging

Nintendo would never do it, but I loved Wario World.

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

I'd love to see a sequel, and I'd keep my fingers crossed that Waluigi would be in it, as well. Sadly, Nintendo doesn't seem willing to give Wario another chance, seeing how WarioWare is all he appears in nowadays.

Wario World was a good start for making a great game. Sadly they never made a sequel so we never got that great game. Wario World was unique enough that an improved sequel would be very welcome.

I'd love a new Wario World game but I can see him being DLC for the new 3D Mario game and to be honest I'd be happy enough with that.

The further from the 90's we get, the less of Nintendo's character catalogue we see in full fledged form like Wario World. It sucks, I wish more of the general gamer population was asking for well made, fully realized cartoon style games but they aren't. That's a niche now if it isnt Lego or relies on figurines to sell. And anything else is something only small developers can live off of

I think it will come back at some point. If it did nothing else, Knack showed that games are on the way to becoming interactive Pixar films graphically, and CG kid's movies have been massive for years. So it's inevitable they'll get a similar renewal of interest in gaming as far as I'm concerned.

though i don't know why you're complaining about Nintendo not making these games. When did this happen?

I'm not saying Nintendo isn't making its games, It just feels like to me that a game like Wario World is less likely today than in past console generations. But maybe that's just me. Perhaps in recent years Nintendo has had to put its heavier IP more into rotation to maintain its brand messaging, whereas in generations past it felt like the console carried more of that marketing and they could more freely put out various games with different kinds of characters and little worlds. Yes, the eShop has seen some of that, but that's part of the reason I feel like IP used for full sized adventure games is a little more carefully considered

It's not as if Wario's been gone for ages, we did get Wario Master of Disguise and Wario Land Shake It last gen in 2007 and 2008. It has been a while since the last Wario platformer, but I wouldn't call them dead just yet. But yeah, it does seem like they're playing things a bit safer nowadays (I noticed this started happening around 2010, that's when they started to trend towards nostalgia pandering), so I wouldn't be surprised if there were no Wario platformer on Wii U or 3DS.

It shouldn't happen unless Treasure is making it again. (Someone else making a 3D Wario game should use another name).

I don't see why it wouldn't work but it needs to be 3D based, not a 2D-2.5D side scroller I'm so sick and damn tired of them. Looking at u DK series. Dunno why DK64 had to be the only 3D platformer in the series. The Wii & WiiU audience are/were more than capable of handling it.
Also dunno what the heck you'd do for gamepad support. Barely any of the solid platformers use it.

I think Nintendo see platformers as something that's fairly quick and easy to make but also offer something that isn't as common on other consoles. Nintendo have to try to appeal to every niche they can to sell WiiUs and plarformer fans are one of them. Id always buy a WiiU but even if I wasn't a big Nintendo fan id have bought because I'm a big fan of platformers

I'm really hoping for a 2D Wario Land that looks as good as Shake It did. WL was always my favorite Wario series.

I prefer Wario Land as well, but wouldn't be opposed to a second Wario World. However, I'd really cringe if they used his 'waft' in a canon entry. Quick, stop me before I ramble about Wario's representation in Super Smash Bros.

Before looking through the forum today, I never knew a 3D Wario game existed, but after watching some gameplay videos, I would KILL for an HD 3D Wario platformer. I've only recently taken to the Wario series, but boy am I loving it's outrageous nature. This sort of experimentation is what I love my Nintendo consoles for. Hopefully, we'll eventually get Wario console adventure for Wii U.

@Aozz: I was looking at a website called fantendo.wikia.com and it shows the sequel called Wario World U, which doesn't exist in the real world. The game has a list of levels in eight worlds. The game's predecessor is different than the sequel. Still two levels and a boss battle in each world. The worlds still needs to be numbered so that Wario goes in order of completing his quest. There should also be designs of what the new characters look like.

I don't think Wario as a character really has very broad appeal. Jokes about farting, burping, picking your nose, and eating garlic aren't going to reach a super wide audience. I couldn't stand clicking through all of his excessive dialogue in WarioWare DIY. Sometimes games like that really highlight what a poorly conceived character he really is and how much they fail at making him as funny as they want him to be. Shake It was also a very lackluster game for Nintendo and I didn't even feel like going for 100%. It felt like it belonged on N64 maybe and even then it wouldn't have stood out.
