Topic: wii u, whos played it and what do you think!

It's not at my Best Buy yet. I can't wait though, and neither can they! They've got out the Wii U Wii Remotes and the WiiU/3DS eShop cards!

I played one. All it had in terms of game demos was rayman, which was okay I guess. Not really all that different from an Xbox 360. It was a bit distracting to have the same image displayed on two screens for most of the introduction, but not too bad once you're playing. The controller wasn't as comfortable as a 360's, but I can still see myself playing one for long periods of time.

This video does a great job of showing what the Wii U is like, I just found it.

I just played it at GS, but sadly the only game they had to play was Rayman..... I hated the controls of origins and I hated these as well, I hope Rayman isn't the game to show off WiiUs controls otherwise I'd hate WiiU, wish I could've played NSMBU instead

Wonder why Rayman is the chosen Wii U demo game? That game is not even available at launch and I don't think anyone is specifically buying a Wii U for that.

Part of me is tempted to try the Wii U at the store now but the other part of me wants to wait until I bring it home. Oh well, only 3 weeks and 2 days to go!

I don't know if anyone else has the same thing on their demos, but my Best Buy's Wii U did have a list of several games, but the demo button was faded out on them excluding Rayman's. I did have fun playing the demo though. The gamepad itself looked bigger then I thought it would, yet I manged to use it perfectly. And I agree with many of you: Why is Rayman Legends a demo first before the likes of Nintendo Land and/or NSMBU? Especially considering 1, Rayman isn't as popular, 2, it isn't a launch title, and 3, Nintendo Land is being bundled with the deluxe system, so one would think they'd do that because it would encourage people to go with the deluxe since they'd get to try it out. But that's just my thought.

^xactly my point at least we know NSMBU is going to sell, so why not let people try it out?

I'm probably gonna pay the rest of my pre-order at GS before Nov 18, so at that time, I'll give the in-store demo a try.

I live in small town America. Our GameStop has it now so I'm sure everyone has it now. I played Rayman which is a fun game, but it really didn't give me an idea of what the system is capable a of. ZombiU demo was not available which was a little disappointing.

I went to Armageddon to play the Wii U and it was amazing.
New Super Mario Bros was also a amazing game!

I went to Best Buy and played a demo of Rayman Legends.It was great.I'm surprised by the tablet's size,though.

I don't care what games are on the Demo Station. I just want to feel the GamePad in my hands. The games will change, the feel of the controller in my hands will not.

Me and @CosmicMii have both tried the Wii U and NSMB U at the same event and I gotta say i'm impressed too. I did Try Zombi U in the R18 section too, I thought it was brilliant fun, I haven't been much of a survival horror fan in the past but ever since Resident Evil Revelations i've been waiting for a good game much similar to that game.

Maybe the fact that NSMBU and NintendoLand will PROBABLY be 2 of the most purchased launch titles, there really is no point in putting those games in as demos: they're already going I sell alot, people won't need convincing to do it. And those are also first party titles. A game like Rayman gives them an opportunity to not only showcase a great game that may be less heard of among the majority of consumers, it's also a chance to really showcase their third party support.

Yeah my GameStop only had Rayman Legend too. I'd much rather Nintendo Land though. Anyway, my impressions...

The Wii U GamePad felt great. It was the perfect size and weight, buttons pushed well, fast reaction time, and magnificent graphics. Overall, I loved it.
