So today i was wondering, with the new consoles on the horizon Nintendo must have a great software lineup. What would you guys consider that to be for this year? Say between E3 and Christmas. The Probable are Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, 3d Mario(they said it would be playable at E3 so its not unlikely for it to be out this year right) Mario Kart( they said the same about it as #d mario I think) Wind Waker HD, and Luigi U. Plus probably some unannounced stuff.

Mario Kart is pratically confirmed. I hope not for the 3D Mario as I don't want my favorite series to become a neverending retread.

My guess is we're gonna get at least one of Nintendo's semi-popular series as a surprise announcement around E3. Probably Kirby. Wii U Party for sure I'd guess.

Though I sometime talk shit of the Wii U I do think its better days is still ahead. There's plenty of games coming before the end of the year that will truly showcase the Wii U's innovation. What's good is that this games will be available on the Wii U way before the next gen consoles get it. I bought the Wii U mainly because of Pikmin 3 but got very much disappointed that the game got delayed so many times. I'm not that excited of Pikmin 3 anymore. I think it will be a huge game on the Wii U but short of a game changer. I'm very excited of Watch Dogs & Splinter Cell. The assymetrical gameplay that the Wii U provides I think will truly separates it from the others. There's also plenty of 1st party titles coming in the future particulary 3D Mario & zelda. Some other games coming like Resident Evil, Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed IV also looks very promising.

This year we are almost certainly getting Game and Wario, Pikmin 3, Wii U Party, Wii Fit U, The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker remake, Yarn Yoshi, Mario Kart, and 3D Mario. We're also getting The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Rayman Legends, and X. If we get all of that, this will be an excellent year for us, and hopefully Nintendo too.

That's a pretty good list of games

It's Wario time Yaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

You can also add Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs technically, though obviously not Nintendo made. Watch Dogs especially I'd dare say would be important to sell...realistically well, unless we want the "3rd party games don't sell on Nintendo so 3rd parties don't advertise them so they don't sell on Nintendo" cycle to go on forever.

Probably a good two or three of the games mentioned here probably won't make it this year. Other than that I wouldn't be surprised if maybe one or two major titles appeared that we don't know about. All in all the end of the year looks pretty good.

TBH I don't really mind if there's not much more than what's pretty well confirmed so far. Watch Dogs, Wind Waker HD, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3, Mario Kart U, The Wonderful 101, Assassin's Creed 4, Batman: Arkham Origins... that's a damn good list of games.

Ahh Retro, definitely could fit in the "maybe one or two major titles appeared that we don't know about" category

I thought Bayonetta 2 was confirmed for this year. Anyways, I would not be suprised by 3d Mario in November and Mariokart in December. That seems to be the trend. Also, Mario is usually the holiday (1 year) after system launch.

I hope we get monolith soft's new game I doubt it but a man can dream! It looks so awesome and I just want to fly around in a mech beating the crap out of large monsters I recently bought xenoblade chronicles and I'm loving it so I can't wait to see what the new game monolith soft is working on brings to the table Nintendo buying them was the best decision they ever made.

Don't forget Earthbound on VC! Also I can't wait to see the direction Nintendo takes the next 3d Mario. Oh and is the new Call of Duty going to be on Wii U?

The most anticipated game in my opinion is Wii Fit U. Both previous games sold more than 20 million. Wii Fit Plus has great minigames and it is well made. I hope they release the Wii U one already (and that this time you can change kg to lbs any time), and frankly, this was a huge mistake by Nintendo. They should have released a Mario Wii Fit long time ago and continued to capitalize on the title. There are a few games that sell really well, amazingly well and push the hardware. NSMB is one, they did it. Wii Fit is another they postponed it. Mario 3D is another they had none yet. Mario Party also not out. and of course Smash Bros and Mario Kart. Also Wii Party sold phenomenally, and they could have made a Wii U Party for people to buy with Nintendo Land. And they should have had a Wii U Sports or something similar instead.

But they will fix those and bounce back.

Is the audience that bought the first two Wii Fit games still even there?

I use Wii Fit Plus all the time. So do many other people I know who could be described as "core gamers."
