Oh I see. That's great. I just don't like the wii u remote thing.

It's good - and battery life is crazy. I play it when Gamepad recharges. I don't have a problem with Gamepad though

I tried it and I prefer the offset analog sticks but that maybe just because I have been using Xbox controllers for so long. But it felt like a well built controller would had liked a bit more weight to it but the important thing is that it functioned well.

it very might be my favorite controller, i cant wait to try smash on it, even though im used to GC controls.
that said, i still like the gamepad, because of ts analog positions and off-screen ability

I think the G-pad is comfortable, but the Pro Controller is a very good controller. It's a step above the Wii's pro controller, and the battery life is superb! As far as Nintendo's controller's go, I'd say 3rd (SNES, WaveBird, Pro Controller) .
@umegames I can't wait to try it out in Smash Bros, either! Once they have more colours, I may buy another.

everyone giving positive reviews..... Are we all in agreement that the wii u classic controller pro was awful??

Definitely not a fan of that one

The Wii CC Pro? Well yeah, it was ok but it was hardly great. When I had multiplayer stuffs on the Wii it was always a fight over the WaveBird, then the CC Pro and the loser would end up on the original CC. Some people were fine with WiiMote (was usually my preferred option).

With the Wii U and the Pro Controller I can see people fighting over that. I don't think people will give up on the feel of that controller over what the CC Pro offered. Unless it's maybe a SNES VC game. If the WaveBird was still an option it'd be 50:50 between the Pro and Wavebird, against the CC Pro it's no contest.

I really don't mind any of the controllers so much, that I don't prefer it. I used to prefer the GCN controller for Smash Bros, but I've grown accustom enough to the CCPro, that I play just as well as I did on a Wavebird.

It really depends. I'd still choose the Wii remote and nunchuck combo for some games. Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, TP, SS, or etc. games that are similar will always have me using the Wii remote. I know most games I listed don't really give you an option, but it would be like playing RedSteel or No More Heroes with something besides the Wii remote. Those games don't even need that many buttons or utilize the Wii remote well enough that I don't have any complaints.
The GamePad is basically the same as the Pro controller, button wise. I just don't understand the complaints, because it's the Pro controller, plus more. I prefer the GamePad over a standard controller. There's just so much more you can do with it. I use it to change the volume on my TV, and it has the headphone jack for quick chat access on online games(that support voice chat, obviously).

Face buttons (specifically A,B,X,Y) seem less textured on the Wii U Pro Controller than the game pad.

Just bought for Pikman and Super Mario 3D world.
Now have Gamepad, 2 wiimotes, 2 nunchucks, 1 wii pro cc, and this. So I figure I have 4 player options for most games.

The Gamepad is awkward for platform games like previous Marios. I'm so much better with a smaller controller. Can't wait to try it out

I prefer the higher placement of both analog sticks. Dualshocks kill my hands in no time. Now a company just needs to figure out that you can't hit buttons and use the right analog stick comfortably at the same time, and move the buttons to the back, and things will be amazing.
