@\Well Mario Kart DS, New SMB, Animal Crossing were the big ones and Brain Training was suddenly the next big thing. Does the 3DS have a better library than the DS did then? I'd say yes. We have Mario Kart and a New SMB but we also have an awesome port of OoT, a new 3D Mario in 3D Land and Kid Icarus.
But you forgot literally every best DS game at that time except Mario Kart. Canvas Curse, Meteos, Advance Wars, Dawn of Sorrow, Sonic Rush, the Mario 64 remake, ACE ATTORNEY.

I also didn't mention Revelations or Starfox 64 on the 3DS or any of the 3DSWare games like Pushmo, Mutant Mudds, Mighty Switch Force or VVVVVV. I'd say the 3DS is in a marginally better place than the DS was at this time in its life and I get that some people would say it's a little bit the other way. However saying the gap between the two is DS awesome and 3DS bitterly disappointing is a bit of a stretch.......
The 3DS is also getting new Professor Layton and Paper Mario by the end of the year. So there's also that.

I absolutely loved Super Mario 64 DS, why did people hate it? Granted, I had never even heard of Super Mario 64 before so that may have something to do with it.

I never played Super Mario 64 either, and I liked the DS version, supposedly people hated it because it had a bad camera.

It would make more sense to call someone a Sony fanboy if they said "I only play JRPGs", considering most of the good ones are only on PS consoles
