I wont be getting on board with this console. First off. Nintendo held off some pretty great games till the bitter end (Xenoblade and Last Story) and are still Holding out on Pandora's Tower. 2nd....Reggie promised before the launch of the 3DS that we were going to get a Robust online gaming network. Hello still has not happened! Monster Hunter Tri was the best for any type of network play we got. (it was pretty darn good). 3rd.....The 3DS has been out long enough to have an absolutely killer lineup of games and I'm sorry that's just not the case. The Eshop is a joke although I must say this particular week looks pretty decent and may see me download all 3 games that are served up. However I have made Nintendo my systems of choice since the DS and the Wii came out and have put in years of loyalty. The DS was absolutely awesome! but the Wii.....well not so great. So I have lost any kind of trust in nintendo to do the right things in regards to Wii, Wii-U and the 3DS. Things have been picking up for the 3DS but still the road has been a very rocky one. Come on guys seriously no RPG's. Then there is Dragon Quest X for Wii. Let's see how long this system seller for North American and UK gamers will be held out by Nintendo. They have my money if it's ever released. But no....no.... not again nintendo. You most certainly will not be getting my money this time on the day 1 launch of Wii-U, Now i'm holding out. How do you like them apples? or in other words, a taste of your own medicine. for me it will seem like sweet retribution for the lack of the way things should have been.

I have been extremely Loyal to Nintendo and made this choice Just have Wii, 3DS and DS. My own Darn Fault I suppose. I play games on my Android more than anything these days and that's Sad. Come on Nintendo it's time to Man up

I probably will just so I can get more downloads, but I'm not excited excited for it, what I really want is my 3DS to play all my games I own on WiiU and I think it's possible I've been thinking of ways to play wii games on handheld and only a few games seem hard to do.

Good for you. I disagree on most points and will be picking up my WiiU with NSMB.U day one.

Okay... I might not get a Wii U day 1 but I'm getting one by the end of the year... personally KIU is epic, MK7 is great, and I'm picking up NSMB2 before too long. Wii U looks AWESOME, has Pikmin 3, NSMBU, LEGO City Undercover, Wii Fit U... most of the launch titles look pretty good.

I'm not getting one day one probably, but like @3Dash said, i will have one by the end of the year.

I will probably pick up the Wii-U but im going to sit back and watch a bit. I've been very dissapointed with the wii and felt that They Held Back Last Story and Xenoblade far to long. Plus just the fact that the gaming lineup to me was not that great. I have so much hope for my 3DS and really want to them succeed and they usually do in the end

Every system ever is going to have flaws. The 3DS didn't have good launch titles. That was a year and a half ago!!! TLoZSS took 5 years to make but it's a great game! Maybe it was held back a bit too long, but wasn't it worth the wait? The Wii U will be great from the second it launches. Great titles and eShop from Day 1 of Wii U. Nintendo's learned! It may not be perfect, but it'll be pretty darn good.

I think I will get one eventually but not at launch; any system with the number 1 game seemingly being a NSMB game at launch is a console I think I can hold out on; as soon as Zelda arrives though I'd imagine it'd be hard to resist.

Nothing says 'Hey, We've got a BRAND NEW console with AWESOME Next Generation Graphical Capabilities' like another NSMB game.

Because no games. Maybe if I hold out five years a good JRPG might eventually be released for it.

I like your Optimism but I really dont think Nintendo has learned. They are still holding back games and the Eshop is nowhere near the quality it should be as a nintendo product

Well, the Vita's line up was supposed to be good... Look how it is now. Shame really, It's a good system.
I'll be picking up a Wii U at launch or fairly close to it if any financial issues come up.
I have three title on my mind. ZombieU, Pikmin 3 and New Super Mario Bros. U.
I'm also looking forward to exploring the system software.

For me Pikmin 3, P-100, and NSMW are enough for me for now, although if Ninja Gaiden 3 is good I may pick that up as well

I so want Dragon Quest X Online. The day that comes out is the day I get the Wii-U. Unless something else like a Zelda or Smash Bros game hits the system first.

Just so everyone knows, Dragon Quest X is also getting released on Wii U. _{And no, I'm not saying anything else because I'm too tired.}

Nintendo can't launch all their games at one time. That's part of the reason it gets held back. The reason is their having technical issues, or they weren't planning on doing something. Xenoblade and Last Story weren't going to come out in America or Europe until tons of people wanted it. IMO, the eShop is getting better. MM, DRW, and FSS when it comes out all help the eShop. Colors! 3D, Pushmo, and many othersare great for the eShop. And the eShop is growing. Its Virtual Console is also growing, with Zelda, Mario, and Metroid, with many other there and coming. DLC is also becoming big, with NSMB2 levels before too long, Mutant Mudds levels in a few weeks, and others coming.

Maybe I'm a bit optimistic, but even if 3DS had a bad start, it's getting better fast.

Yeah in my opinion it's not that Nintendos behind, ts that people expect too much ever since the app store started to release millions of random apps and having a few must haves
