Nintendo can't launch all their games at one time. That's part of the reason it gets held back. The reason is their having technical issues, or they weren't planning on doing something. Xenoblade and Last Story weren't going to come out in America or Europe until tons of people wanted it. IMO, the eShop is getting better. MM, DRW, and FSS when it comes out all help the eShop. Colors! 3D, Pushmo, and many othersare great for the eShop. And the eShop is growing. Its Virtual Console is also growing, with Zelda, Mario, and Metroid, with many other there and coming. DLC is also becoming big, with NSMB2 levels before too long, Mutant Mudds levels in a few weeks, and others coming.
Maybe I'm a bit optimistic, but even if 3DS had a bad start, it's getting better fast.
I agree with you and it seems in the end Nintendo usually comes through. But they have held back games for far to long. They also need to build up an online gaming network. It's time to bring Nintendo players together

One last thing Nintendo needs to realize is that the Players who were playing the NES and Super Nintendo have all grown up and it's time to move along with those Loyal players. Alot of those players have moved onto the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 because Nintendo did not move along with the original Base of players. I'm sticking with Nintendo and the Wii-U will eventually be my last gaming console as I am an Older gamer. I just hope the best. I do hope that all of their systems succeed

Every system ever is going to have flaws. The 3DS didn't have good launch titles. That was a year and a half ago!!! TLoZSS took 5 years to make but it's a great game! Maybe it was held back a bit too long, but wasn't it worth the wait? The Wii U will be great from the second it launches. Great titles and eShop from Day 1 of Wii U. Nintendo's learned! It may not be perfect, but it'll be pretty darn good.
I like your Optimism but I really dont think Nintendo has learned. They are still holding back games and the Eshop is nowhere near the quality it should be as a nintendo product
I agree with you. Nintendo's doing alright - but the 3DS should be further than it is by now.
MiiVerse, by definition, is a social video gaming network you will see every time you boot up the console. There is a forum, and you can talk about a game on this forum or write on the forum. You can see who's playing what. You can video chat with your friends.

I'm getting it day 1. Thinking of ordering online this time as lots of people seem to get games a few days earlier than launch date. Any one know who is good for early delivered pre-orders? Or shall I start another thread?

This is a good move these days. Gaming has changed so much. There just seems to be so many duds compared to good software. 90% of the Apple and android markets are duds. Just a guess but 70% of the Eshop are duds. To me that is not right. They are Nintendo and should be doing it much better than the other guy. In a way they are but the other guys are slightly ahead because of the amount of software they offer. This seems to be the current Mold of operations.

I have read about it but how it will impact the way we play online will need to be seen. Because Nintendo has never embraced online multiplayer games. I will be surprised if they do here. I will be happy if they do. Come on Dragon Quest X!
