Right now I think PS4 or Xbox One is closer to that channel that you're only watching right now because they announced some shows you're interested in and you enjoy its current reruns.

And what are these creative titles that Sony and MS have made?

I did not. I doubt it actually would give me a satisfying answer.

Here's the thing man, that rumored Nintendo console IS NOT a Wii U replacement. I don't know why people are so insistent on spreading that rumor (probably Nintendo haters who want YOU to believe the Wii U is doing worse than it is, and uses this as ammo). All, I repeat, ALL console manufacturers start development of their next gen consoles immediately after releasing the most recent one. It's not speculation, it's a fact. Nintendo IS working on the 9th gen consoles. They have to be. You don't just dream up a new console the year prior. It takes years and years of planning, prototyping, and then, when the product is finalized, they need at least 2 years to develop games for it, all prior to launch. The only question that remains, is whether the Fusion will actually BE that next-gen console or not.

The Wii U is currently on track to hit Gamecube numbers, and that's if nothing changes. That's if the next five years are all just as bad as 2013. So worst case scenario, we have another Gamecube. Nobody threw a fit or had a panic attack over that console, so why should anyone get all flustered over the Wii U sales? In fact, I would say that it's HIGHLY unlikely the Wii U will have a repeat of 2013 for five more consecutive years. 2013 was bad, primarily due to lack of consumer awareness, games drought, high price, small library, etc. Each year the library fills out more, awareness grows, the price drops, etc. The Wii U's worst days are behind it. But even if they're not- even if the console musters a measly 3 million sold every year for the next 5 years, and doesn't gain one ounce of momentum, it will STILL hit Gamecube numbers.

So no, Nintendo isn't releasing a Wii U replacement. Not by a long shot. Any new console being developed is for the following gen. Wii U development started around 2007, and Wii development started in the early 2000's. Of course they're working on 9th gen consoles. If they weren't, they wouldn't be ready in time. EVEN IF the Wii U never sold another console from now until 2018, they're not going to replace it. That would be suicide. No one would ever buy another Nintendo product again, for fear of discontinued support. Just breathe, take a step back, and realize that things are not as bad as the media wants you to believe. It's definitely not good, and they've got their work cut out for them, but again, it's on track to match the Gamecube at the VERY WORST. And no one freaked out over that.

Just enjoy the console for what it is, and don't worry about all this negativity. Trust me, you could go on hiatus from gaming sites for the next several years, come back, and Nintendo will still be pumping out games for Wii U, and the media will still be talking trash about every negative aspect they can dig up on them. Should we love the Wii U? I am very fond of it, and we use the term "love" very loosely nowadays. I say I love the Wii U all the time, but it's all about context. First, I love God. Second, I love others, third, I love myself and my own interests (such as gaming, Nintendo, and the Wii U). So sure, you can love it, just keep it in perspective. Don't let a piece of plastic become more important to you that the things that actually matter.

Nintendo games are good buy I feel that They're pretty boring and not as creative as Sony and Microsoft has been as late.

I feel exactly the opposite. I tried to like Sony 1st party games, I really did. But they're just not good. Even their best, most creative title to date, Tearaway, isn't half as good as the average Nintendo game (although I did enjoy the bounce pad mechanic- that was good fun). All their other games are mediocre as well. Their Uncharted series is pretty good, but even those games (and games like The Last of Us) thrive off cinematics and story to cover up what always has been, and still is, average gameplay. Don't get me wrong- I like those games, and definitely think they're worth buying, but those are the exception, not the rule. I do like Sony, and I own all their consoles, and I enjoy them fully. But there's one thing I generally don't dig, and that's Sony's 1st party games.

Nintendo, on the other hand, never ceases to amaze. Pikmin 3 was better than most games I've ever played. And it was different. And it had unique controls- that's the advantage of Nintendo hardware having motion controls, a second screen, and traditional dual analogues all at the developer's disposal. Super Mario 3D World is another great example. Pure stroke of genius. That game oozes quality and fun. It represents everything I love about Nintendo. The stages are so different, and unique, and creative. And the added mechanics of the catsuit really turn it into something special. I love everything about that game. I'm playing it right now in fact. Just paused to check the forums... Zelda A Link Between Worlds is a masterpiece. One of the best games I've ever played. The wall-merging mechanic adds so much- it's perfect in every way. Fire Emblem Awakening, DKC Returns (and soon, Tropical Freeze), Mario & Luigi Dream Team, all very fun, very addicting, top shelf games. I could go on, but you get what I'm saying.

Idk, I have no prejudice against Sony. If they make a fantastic, fun game from time to time, like The Last of Us, I'll buy it. And when Nintendo makes a mediocre game from time to time, such as Paper Mario Sticker Star, I won't bother playing it. But as a general rule of thumb, the majority of Nintendo games aren't just good, they're amazing, some of the funnest I've ever played. And as a general rule of thumb, the majority of Sony games are pretty bland and dull. Their ambition far exceeds their talent at creating a fun experience. Not that that's a problem or anything, I mean, most people (such as myself) don't buy a PS for the 1st party games. It's the grand selection of 3rd party games that make that console shine.

Guys, I care so much. It's not funny

There's literally still at least 50 games I would want, on Nintendo systems alone. Go look at the 3DS eShop, and there's tons of $1-10 games that are worth having, IMO.

I want Nintendo to succeed (and I think they need to) in this industry for two reasons:

-Their games are some of the best and most beloved in the entire industry. Anyone who doesn't recognize that franchises like Mario and Zelda aren't iconic is kidding themselves.
-Much of the rest of the industry has fallen into some despicable business practices (Day 1 DLC, for example) and Nintendo tends to keep their hands clean from that, if all we're left with is a bunch of greedy donkeyholes making rehashy shooters that you need to pay out the nose to get any enjoyment out of, the industry is as good as dead.
Please watch the profanity — TBD

Wii U being the only of the 3 main consoles that isn't PC-lite and is at least trying to do something different is almost enough reason alone to care about the Wii U's success vs. failure imo. Console gaming would be so boring right now if Nintendo just followed the leader with this stuff. That's not about rhe quality of the games, that's about the consoles being interesting or worth caring about, and it will take a while for enough good software to exist for me to really have a reason to find the other 2 consoles to be anything other than "game consoles that exist". I still find my self disappointed that Microsoft went from being insane to boring after E3, because a train wreck is so much more interesting than being just competent.

I think it's really sad that a large percentage of Wii U owners won't experience The Wonderful 101 or Pikmin 3, that people who don't own a Wii U won't experience these great Nintendo games on a controller with a really nifty touchscreen, and that if Nintendo disappeared the world would forget these icons and moments of popular culture.

In my opinion, Pikmin 3 and W101 are two of the main reasons I think the Wii U tanked in 2013. Nintendo needed a couple serious heavy hitters to divert people's attention from the soon to be released new consoles. Instead we got two niche titles that are visually / conceptually kind of similar (wrangling tons of tiny guys to battle big monsters from a 3/4 overhead view). So when they both came out I ended up just picking one, as I didn't feel like over-saturating my Wii U with tiny dudes. I've enjoyed Pikmin 3, but collecting fruit is not nearly as interesting as the lost objects from Pikmin 2, and I ended up playing the W101 demo. For me, both titles land in this awkward place of being too complex to just goof around with and show your pals, and yet too simplistic and repetitive to really sink your teeth into for extended hours of play.

Neither of those titles have the Aha! moment for me. The moment when Nintendo's brilliance hits you and you are forced to smile even though you're staring at a game over screen. Super Mario 3D World did the trick, but a bit too late I think. Everyone was already distracted by their new big shiny black boxes.
