Not announced yet but Kevin Conroy (the guy that does Batman voice) said he's be recoring new lines for the next game and the writer Paul Dini say he's not wroking on it. There were rumours of a silver age comic style take on it and Justice League game but I have no idea if that's true or not though.
It might not be for a while, but I think there will be a Wii U version. Marvel/DC is the kind of demographic that they'll want to make a Wii U version if they can, and they can.
The difference in the hardware is pretty insignificant compared to the difference last gen with the Wii. i'm sure they wanted to make a Wii version back then but it was too hard.
I do agree with you that if they make a really good Batman game and it will skip Wii U, something I don't believe will happen, I will play it on PC/another console. I played Arkham Asylum on PS3 for the same reason, although Arkham City: AE on Wii U was the best version so far in the franchise.
Speaking of, I just finished Arkham Origins an hour ago. That was really great!
No FPS issues (only when it wants to post accomplishments to Miiverse did it slow down a little bit), no bugs / freezes, and the singleplayer campaign was great! I really don't get the hard criticism of this game. Sure maybe not as good as the other ones, but pretty damn close IMO. I actually preferred the story here to Arkham City.
Man, gamers are such nitpickers. I really need to not trust reviews too much over personal preference.
I just hope we'll get the new DLC (probably not).
On topic: Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we won't get the latest one on Wii U.. Though Nintendo should really start paying companies to do the ports...
I heard that the next one is going to reflect more on the silver age style and that was coming our after Arkham Origins. Other then that I haven't heard much. Maybe we will here more at this year's E3 at least that will be my guess.
