I'd much prefer the Legend of Zelda: Zelda Edition. Give the princess some spotlight!

Knowing Nintendo, they aren't ones to just upscale a game and rerelease it. Instead they completely revamp the art style like with OoT 3D or WW HD. Giving that treatment to every Zelda game would take a Loooong time. MM would need completely redone visuals. TP would need a dramatically enhanced texture pack, and SS's art style would need significant modification to not look awful in HD (it's not bad, but it was designed in part to mask the graphical limitations of the Wii, in HD it will just look choppy)

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

HD-izing xbox games is easy and cheap.

HD-izing N64 games is expensive because they need to be remade, or else they'll look bad.

Completely ? They put in slightly more effort but not much more. Certainly not enough to deserve the premium they want for it (For me anyway already owning the Gamecube version and never really being much of a fan of it).

Take Nights into Dreams the latest version costs £5.99 and has two modes the original Saturn visuals and HD / Widescreen ones. (At some point they have done a completely reprogrammed game something Nintendo won't have done for Windwaker).

It's actually funny that you say that for Skyward Sword because that's what actually started this "wish" in my head. I've been playing it in HD on the Dolphin emulator just by playing on 4x the resolution and it's beautiful. It really made me want to see OoT and MM get good HD versions. I'm not sure how Twilight Princess would be just by bumping the resolution, but I'd love to see it in HD as well.

That's the thing Halo 1, 3, and 4 are already in HD and Halo 2 is getting the Halo One treatment. With Zelda the N64 games and twilight princess would have to be redone and that's a lot of work.

WAT!

Good idea. Maybe Twilight Princess, Majora's Mask, and Ocarina of Time all on one disk for Wii U?

I didn't intend this to be a "do you think it'd happen" so much as a "what do you think the consumer interest would be/would it be a good idea?" type of thread...

I think it'd catch the eye of a lot of people that already have a Wii U. I don't think many people would really come over to the Wii U for it and I find it hard to imagine most people going "hell yeah, I'd pay over $100 for that!" It'd be a thing for big Zelda fans and big Zelda fans only.

The UGXloggery ... really needs an update.
