Topic: So I went into Wal Mart and..

I have the luck of having a more intimidating presence in real life than people expect, so whenever I walk into a Gamestop and buy a Wii U game, there's just silence, lmao...

And then when they didn't have Splinter Cell: Blacklist, I couldn't buy it while I was placing a pre-order, so I checked Best Buy's website and they had it in stock. So when they told me "you basically can't get a Wii U game unless you pre-order it", I said "I'll just get it at Best Buy, they seem to be stocking new releases for the Wii U over there", and there was more silence, hahaha

I remember last Black Friday sitting in line for Gamestop's Midnight opening and everyone except for me was waiting in line in hopes of the rumor that X-Box One's and PS 4's were in small stock, I was just in line for Wii U Rayman for $25 and buy on get one free Infinity figures. I was actually looked at favorably since I wasn't competition for getting a hard to find system LOL! In fact I was sitting the playing A Link Between Worlds on my 3DS and people were watching me curiously saying things like they wish they had a 3DS so they could play it.

And we wonder why the Wii U sales is bad. Maybe it wasn't because of the Wii U, it's because of the people selling it?

Jokes aside, I live in Vancouver Canada and the Ebgames(gamestop) that I shop with never said negative stuff about Nintendo. One of the cashier even told me he is not going get a PS4/Xbone because his Wii U has much more awesome games LOL

But hating on Xbox One and PS4 is cool and hip.

This thread doesn't really make any sense unless everyone posting in it is lonely. Why would you bother wasting your time talking to a manager about some little cheeky comment? Don't you have better things to do than try get a minimum wage employee fired?

Ya, maybe the guy had schizophrenia, which would explain why he was talking to himself. If he really loved his job, he wouldn't be rude.

It's not even about the employee liking or disliking Nintendo. He was rude to the customer.

I guess I just don't see the appeal in wasting 15 minutes of my day talking to a manager about something so trivial. I'm not a particularly busy person, but there's things I'd rather do than get all sensitive about what the 16 year old at Wal-Mart thinks about my gaming choice.

Some of you seem to be going a bit overboard I mean is it necessary for who ever this person is to be fired this just seems like a lot of effort to me for a throw away moment.

I don't think that's the problem at all in the first place. Both sony and Microsoft have their fair share of family friendly titles, but more to the point the divstery those two have between the main three rating scales are much higher than Nintendo has. Couple that with good third party support and DD games you tend not to get many complaints.

This week alone on my 360 I skirted between

Fable Heroes a side scrolling beat em up were you play as dolls based on Heroes of the Fable series.

Toy Soliders Cold War A Tower Defense game where you play as toys that are like the 80s GI Joe action figures.

The Wolf among us episode 2 a crime noir game tale where you play as the big bad wolf who's the sheriff of Fable Time

Plants VS zombies gardan warfware a third person shooter with visuals made for everyone to play.

Along side some Halo, Batman, and say it isn't so the Seasme Street Kinect game from double fine.

I know like we trumpet how awesome colorful games, but when we act like these games don't exist on platforms other than Nintendo than we start to sound a bit foolish,

To your point of course the PS4/Xbone don't have a lot of big hitter's under their belt they came out only what fourmonth ago and it took the Wii U more to a year to get a big hitter compared to four months when Titanfall and Infamous are launching. I could name off a few games on each Black box that just came out that fit the colorful mold.

But than again I'm in the minority that doesn't think the Wii U is all that innovative.

If they want to complain for being mistreated in a walmart, it's their right to do so. It's not something you need to try to understand.

In this case, the offended person decided to complain here in the internet instead of with the manager, that's cool too, just a little less useful.

Keep in mind though, that Lz edited the posts here. So it may seem more "silly" than it really is

I don't think the games themselves are all that innovative, but I do think the GamePad is. The games that use it best are ZombiU, Game & Wario, Pikmin 3, and Lego City Undercover, just off the top of my head. I think the Wii U could be the next DS if they utilize it properly and effectively.

I could kind of buy that. My main problems with the gamepad have mostly to do with the software side of things which isn't nessacarily the gamepads fault, In theory the Gamepad is pretty awesome and the Reveal video from E3 goes into what the gamepad could have been.

The Crux of the problem is that the software of the Wii U Barring ZombiU and Nintendland don't do anything that makes the gamepad a must have. Even ZombiU was hamstung by better zombie games being put out. (State of Decay/Dead Rising/Dead Island) and really needed more time in the oven.

The idea that the gamepad is this controller with its own screen that can interact with the game and Yet work on its own is amazing. But its let down by the OS even after two big updates in seems really slow compared to the other 8th generation systems. PS4/Xbone just seem more quicker and more feature rich than the Wii U. The Wii U's isn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination but it being so when one is used to tablets being quick is a bit disapointing. I think the new quick start menu in the next update will help with alot of that.

But the biggest problem is it seems that people myself included have no problem with these guys.

Which is why you have a ton of people foolishly asking for a price cut with the Pro controller instead of a gamepad.
