Yesterday I asked the man working there to open the case because I wanted Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U. He looked at me with a weird look on his face and said "Wow, somebody actually bought the Wii U." I was kind of surprised but I didn't say anything to him. After I bought the game and walked out, my friend who was buying a game there too herd him whisper under his breath "What a jerk, buying CoD on Wii U".
Has this happened to anyone else? I mean attitudes like this from employees can push people away from buying games, especially people who don't spend as much time gaming.
It annoys me so much, and to be honest, he should've been fired for that. Things like that drive away potential business.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
If I were you, I would've went straight to the manager, inform him or her what happened and walk out of the store and buy the game somewhere else.

He is entitled to have his opinions but he is not entitled to call you a jerk. He is paid to serve his costumers the best he can, not to make insulting remarks. He should have been sacked for that.
The closest thing that happened to me that I think was questioning my console of choice was when I bought Rayman Legends for Wii U at Gamestop. The guy at the checkout suddenly just stopped and stared at the game box, gave me a weird look and said: "Do have a PS3?" I said "Uh, yeah?" and then he just didn't reply and let me pay for my game and leave like normally.
I think the one time I could've got the cold shoulder was when the Xbox One came out. I went to Walmart, and I was second in line for the midnight releases. I walked out with A Link Between Worlds. No bad comment from the associate, but I think every other customer was confused.

Not quite that extreme, but something similar happened to me at GameStop. Though the insult was more towards Nintendo and not at me.
I went there in the evening the day DKCTF came out. I looked on the shelf and did not see a single copy of the game. I waited in line and asked one of the guys working that night if they had any. He said he still had some copies from this morning and proceeded to ring me up. All was well until I asked him a question about how many pre-orders they got for the game. He told me that they received ten copies of the game from Nintendo and got five pre-orders. Now this is the kicker:
He then says that with Nintendo games, (3DS included) they really try to push pre-orders because, "let's face it..."
Let's face it what? I know Nintendo is not in the best of shape as far as it's position in the home console race, but to imply the reason GameStop advertises pre-orders for them is only because they know they won't sell well is absolute bull snot! I guess they do that for Assassin's Creed and Halo for the same reason. And the 3DS is doing great right now. I faceplamed in my mind when he said that.

Well if this happened to me I would have the choices to make him:
A) one of my minions
B) A meal for myself and my minions
C) or B, but instead of being eaten he would be all over the place reminding us of all the entertainment that we had.
Oh all the wonderful choices the undead can have...
When I went to GS for CoD Ghosts, they were like, "Are you sure?", even though that's what I pre-ordered.
It doesn't matter whether people understand why people like Wii U or not. Wii U and Xbox One are the only consoles I'm interested in this generation, and coincidentally, everyone is either a jerk-off about the Wii U, or the Xbox One.
I would have told the guy he was piece of s*** and then ask where the manager was. He would have been fired on the spot, 100%.

Well even worst (not gaming related) This guy at Little Caesar's, my sister was ready to order at the drive thru, but they were taking sooo long to actually come out and take our order, when they finally did, my sister asked the employee why where they taking so long to take orders, the guy got the money, turned around and smashed the window right in front of my sister's face... She was PISSED and wanted to speak to the manager, but she didn't. I wish she did, that guy deserves to get fired.

I preordered a ps4 at a local store here in mexico, but i changed my mind and then bought a wii u, and with the preorder money of the ps4 (50$) i bought super mario 3dworld.
Surprisingly, my local Gamestop has many nintendo fans working there. One girl congratulated me on buying my Wii U, and another went on about Rune Factory 4 for a good 10 minutes with me.
However, this guy was not doing his job properly, and should have been fired. Even if you wanted to be nice to him, just think of him insulting a little kid buying a Wii U game. I'd have reported him to be nice to others, not him.

Thats terrible that an employee treated you like that. Do what I did, go digital and chill.
I have been going digital with a lot of my games recently, I even downloaded Donkey Kong digitally. However, for some reason Ghosts is not on the eshop and my friends have been nagging at me to get it so we can play online together while we wait for X(Which we all assume as multiplayer).
