The only plot I really need is some NES Ninja Gaiden style cut scenes in between the levels of non-stop Action Jackson!

Did anybody check out the new RE6 gameplay footage during Microsoft's E3 conference?

I personally don't know what to think, but i can't deny my total Giddy school girl excitement :p Leon's got a few new moves in his pretty boy arsenal, like rolling around on the ground, using 2 handguns to quickly zip around and pop a zombie in the head, plus you can now cover against walls. I think some of these changes are for the better. But it's guaranteed that this is going to be weak on backtracking and have next to zero puzzles. I truly hope the Wii U gets it soon after it's launch with Pointer Controls being an alternate control scheme, since i won't be playing it on the PS3.

It seemed a little too fast paced, but at the same time, who in the hell would be taking their sweet a** time pacing around a City over run with zombies? Leon this time was quick to get the hell out of there. lol Graphically it's definitly lookingbetter than RE5, either way I want this on the Wii U. Capcom would be complete fools not to release it! And as much as zombie's are played out in this day and age, I'm soo glad to see them back in Resident Evil. The Ooze's in Revelations while cool just weren't the same.

You know, I'm starting to get alittle worried about this one. After watching numerous videos it seems like they have strippped practically everything that made Resident Evil 'Resident Evil' in the first place. The controls appear to be completely different now. The tank controls are now history in favor of a more Dead/space - Gears of war run 'n gun feel. The upside seems to be the new Rolling/on your back mechanic while shooting which does look pretty rad, but everything else from puzzle solving, back tracking, type writers ect ect is history.

I'm excited for Leon's portion of the game really and that's it. Chris's and Jake's scenarios kind of put me off considering the enemies themselves had guns....Infected humans(who straight up look and act like humans) shooting you down with guns? I thought I'd never see that in an RE game.

It's almost like RE has been completely stripped down losing everything about it that made it RE in the first place to appeal to many of these gamers with short attention spans who just want action.

Just the natrual progression of the series. From a story standpoint its nigh impossible to make a action high octant on a old school residents evil playstyle.

I'm guessing the series will get rebooted after this though.

I'm all for the storyline, the cutscenes alone look amazing and what have you but aside from the controls/character abilities(Rolling and shooting on the ground) the actual game itself looks like it's taken a stepbackwards stripping everything from the RE series and giving you a straight up brain dead action fest. I suspect 'items' will be few and far betweeny', Puzzles none exsistent and zero backtracking.

This isn't evolving, this is copping out and giving the main stream Call of Duty, Gears of War-heads what they want. Capcom said that the survival horror genre is becoming a niche genre and they just don't make a lot of money anymore, which i find a little ridiculous at least with Resident Evil. Because ' anything' with the name 'Resident Evil' slapped on it is destined to make a fortune.

I just hope this 'feels' like Resident Evil from a control perspective, Revelations did it right by evolving with shooting while walking in any direction. But RE6 has you manouvering around dead space style instead of those classic tradition Vulnerable RE controls. I'm guessing there will be control options to switch to our liking.

Like i said though, I'm verrry intereted in the plot and seeing where it takes the series. Who's the main big baddie this time around anyways? Each scenario regarding Leon, Chris and jake are as long as RE5 which makes this thee' longest RE game in the series....X3 :o

Personally with all of the remakes and reboots coming around, I want them to make the original Resident Evil with the same controls and style as at LEAST Resident Evil 4. I don't care what system it comes out for, I just want to see it happen. The game would be much scarier with that angle and the claustrophobic halls.

I don't think I count for that, but I don't want this game anywhere.

As if Resident Evil hasn't gotten bad enough, this game rolls out. I don't see what everyone is looking forward to, the survival horror without the survival or the horror, or the wonderful QTEs that everyone enjoys so much.

I hope the Wii U isn't so starved of action games that missing out on RE6 would be a big deal. It's only like the most abundant genre. Besides, how will Capcom charge you guys for multiplayer when the Wii Shop's size limit won't hold all the DLC you'll have to purchase?

Look forward to that Zombie U game. Something specifically designed for the Wii U's tablet thingy that might retain some bit of originality. A lot of Nintendo fans mock the other console owners for their generic FPS/TPS games, so you're not doing much good collectively by wanting this.

So rather than a decent new game, you'd rather just replay an old one?

Interesting philosophy you have there. Way to push the series forward.. Thankfully you're in the right place, because I envision the Wii U receiving lots of ports from this current gen so devs can make a quick buck. You and every other remake-happy gamer will get to enjoy all of the games a lot of us did years ago, yay!

Personally, I officially gave up on the series it was either get used to playing "Gears of Zombie War" or just not play the series at all. TBH I have no problem with the gameplay but I hate that they got rid of the horror, exploration, puzzles and it even took a hit storywise. After RE 4 the story started getting pretty bad and they started sticking in characters like Sheva who are just one dimensional sidekicks who only follow you around and have no story whatsoever. They did a little better with Revelations but it still lacked puzzles and it could have been a bit more scarier. I'm also guessing other playable main characters like Jill, Claire, Rebecca, and Billy are going to be pushed aside for Chris, Leon, and Wesker's son if they make him return in future entries. The moment that Capcom said they wanted the COD audience to come over to RE was the moment I said "I'm done" I didn't look forward to RE:ORC and so far I'm not looking forward to RE6.

To be honest, what I'm looking forward to the most about RE6 is the story and what happens with the characters. Will Wesker truly be revived and face off against his son Jake? Who knows at this point. Plus, Leon's scenario at least looks somewhat interesting since the atmosphere and enemies(ahem 'Zombies') take me back to RE2 & RE3 with the outbreak going on in the streets of racoon city.

But regardless of the atmopshere and what have you, this looks to be the most stripped down mindless RE yet. Definitly designed for the modern tween with a short attention span. Every video I've seen of RE6 is nothing but a giant action blazing mindless shoot out. There's nothing about this even ressembles 'Resident Evil' aside from the characters.

At least it doesn't look as bad as Paul W Anderson's crap fest 'Resident Evil: Retrebution'.....Hopefully it doesn't turn out as bad as that horrible piece of trash 'After Life' the only decent RE movie(although it shouldn't of even of been called RE) is the first movie.

I was very excited for RE 6 when we first saw the teaser trailers, but after seeing some gameplay, it's not looking so hot. It appears like they added new stealth elements into the mix, pair that with an extra helping of QTE and suddenly I have a new appreciation for Resident Evil Revelations.

Story wise, RE1-3 were solid....It's just most of the dialogue and voice overs(especially in the original) that can make the experience a bit sour. But I look at it as B-grade Videogame horror and it does it's job. :P Code Veronica is when the series 'plot-wise' got ridiculous. Zero's was just awful(Marcus in the anime wrobe singing opera) and even Revelations was nothing but an uninteresting stupid convoluted mess with characters in leather skimpy(Jessica and 'what's her face?' with the hair covering her eyes) tighties with their jugs hanging out. Ya, very suitable under the circumstances....I'd be strapped in bloody armor for crying out loud. :p

Anyways, I find it hilarious how some people have their noses so high up in the air expecting something like shakespeare. These are videogames people, not movies. lol Then again, the way the industry is headed at least with many western developers....interactive hollywoodized flashy movie-like experiences may be spreading more and more like the T-Virus itself. lol

That aside, RE1-3 were 'grounded' and at least retained a more realistic Romero inspired plot in comparison to the rest.
RE is definitly one of the franchises most fans look forward to 'because' of the plot(well, again it was interesting with RE1-3) Hell, even 5 had it's moments but ultimately i'm dieing to see what happens with 6 regardless if it's a complete disgrace to the franchise.

Why not just play it on the Wii then? Its the best version.

Oh, I can't argue that the stories have progressively gotten worse as the series has aged. The plot in the later games have been adding layers upon layers that go nowhere and accomplish nothing. I'm just saying the story lines have always been pretty hokey.

So uh, is there anything and i mean ANYTHING in RE6 that goes beyond shooting Sh**?
There doesn't seem be to a puzzle in sight....Not to mention Zero items outside of Ammo and I'm guessing keys. I don't like to just run and shoot, i need a balance of everything in my RE. Backtracking, tons of items, unique puzzles, saving ammo like diamonds ect ect and RE6 just seems to be a mindless heavy action run and gun zombie romp. Leon's Scenario seems like the only thing about the game at least visually that harkens back to the RE of old as far as amtosphere goes 'and' of course the return of Zombies. Still extremely excited nonetheless, after all this 'is' Resident evil and I'm dieing to find out what happens with the characters.

Any new news on Resident Evil: Down Fall for the 3DS yet? :p Claire's apperantly back and it takes place inbetween RE5 & RE6. B-)

Silly Wave, backtracking, unique puzzles, saving ammo like diamonds are for games of yesteryear. Games of today are all about shoot now and ask questions never!
