Everyone needs to go check this game out. Besides Raccoon City I think this Resident Evil game should come out on the Wii U. I mean come on the game looks magnificent already plus if the Wii U is to be stronger it'll look even better.

Anyone esle thinks this should be a Wii U game?

there's no reason i can think of why this wouldn't be on wii u. it's not like re5 where nintendo's system couldn't run it, obviously wii u is powerful enough to handle it this time. plus nintendo is going to be desperate to get games like this lined up after the 3DS launch bombed, and november sounds like it'd make a perfect launch title.

best news if it releases on wii U: re4 wiimote controls will be back. oh yes.

well your assuming your getting pointer controls.

nine times out of ten the wii u is going to used for the middle screen.

Hopefully that will be the case.
I'm sure if they bring it to Wii U they'll try to find ways to use the new controller and all that, but I hope they also include a Wii Remote + Nunchuck option, as they worked so well in RE4.

they put move controls in for re5, so i'm assuming they'll at least consider offering an alternate wii remote scheme. this isn't the sort of game that strikes me as really needing a touchscreen (mercenaries and revelations don't need it aside from camera control), so unless they've made a huge departure with the controls since re4 and 5 it would probably translate to the remote without losing much.

Resi 5 had Move controls, so Resi 6 should have them as well.

And I'm ticked that the PSN port of Resi 4 doesn't have Move controls. The Wii version had pointer controls, so why not keep that same control setup for the PSN version?

the most creative touch screen innovations in the world brought on by the Wii U Controller with RE6 would still never lour me in to that Dual analog control method. I'd absolutely love to use the Wii Remote + Nunchuck for RE6 if it's anything like RE4: Wii edition's like it should be. NextGen graphics, 720p HD, True Widescreen, Via HDMI on a big ass screen using wii pointer controls with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, sounds like an epic RE6 experience to me....But you could get the same thing on the PS3 via Move. B-) :P

What I'm curious about though is that the PS3 usually gets shafted in the graphical department with multiconsole titles seeing as how they always develop these bad boys on the XBOX 360. RE5 turned out looking awful on the PS3 compared to the beautiful razor sharp 360 version, it was so dissapointing. The main 2 culprites were the soft graphics(which has happened for many multiconsole PS3 titles like Ghostbusters for ex) and poor washed out-like contrast. Aside from some of the missing effects and frame rate dipping here and there.

Hopefully this doesn't happen to the PS3 version of RE6 as well... If it does, I'll just rent the XBOX 360 along with RE6 during it's release, or wait for it to hit the Wii U.

Xbox 360 can only display 720, while PS3 can display up to 1080i. Therefore, PS3 isn't performing to it's full potential on many multi-platform games.

Actually the Xbox 360 system software was updated a couple years ago to allow resolutions up to 1080p.

I'd rather take 720p over 1080i obviously due to the benefit of having progressive scan. Besides, the benefits of seeing 1080i/p don't even apply unless you're scoring an HDTV over 50" unless you want to sit smack dab 5.5 feet away from a 42" to actually notice that 1080 for ex. too close for my comort. But i for one will be getting a 50" + for nextgen, so 1080p would be nice if it becomes the standard res for Wii U games, which i funky-fear wont be the case. :p

Anyways! Does anybody else think that might of been Steve from Code Veronica during Chris's portion of the trailer? It shows some dude with red hair that's styalised sort of like Steve's who's basically mutating right before everybodies eyes.

Actually the Xbox 360 system software was updated a couple years ago to allow resolutions up to 1080p.

Most games don't even support 1080p, and the ones that do are usually graphically weaker titles or stuff on XBOX Live.
The only benifit i find for 1080p HDTV's is that it's a native res, and there's Zero funky scaling going on like those other fixed 720p displays. So PS3/XBOX 360 games and Wii U games that are 720p will display every single pixel while looking perfect 'only' when selecting 720p in the PS3's menu, because if you just have 1080p selected and not 720 you're completely screwed graphcially. You'll get one crummy looking image. Uncharted 2, Bioshock 2 and the like looked crappy....But in 720p they were crystal HD clear and totaly drool worthy.

1080p is only worth it on larger sets 50" and above, or for those who prefer to sit super close to the screen, like PC gamers for example.

That relates nothing to what he was talking about.
Also couldn't this be discussed in the Other Gaming. If it hasn't been given a Wii U release by now I doubt it will.
