I can't help but feel that this game has the creativity that the other New Super Mario Bros. games should have had all along.

Though, maybe that's what makes this one so special.

To be fair, the other games bar New Super Mario Bros 2 had more originality than people thought. I mean, New Super Mario Bros for DS was the first 2D Mario game in about twenty years, and introduced quite a lot of new world types, enemies, music and other things. And the Wii game had quite a few new things too, like the whole concept of co-op multiplayer in a Mario platformer.

Yeah I agree. Except NSMBW was less original than the DS game in my opinion.

NSMB2 shouldn't have happened. I enjoyed it, but it feels so rushed.

NSMB.W was my favorite, NSMB2 felt plain. They could have done so much more but they reused too much tiles and stuff.

NSMB.U looks like a redemption, I am excited! I wish I could buy a Wii.U..

My body is ready, can you say the same? Is your body ready?

NSMB2 > NSMBW > NSMB

I honestly kinda didn't like NSMB much.

The original NSMB is my favorite so far, it felt the most fresh, and that's a given. I remember when I first played NSMBW, something just didn't feel right. NSMB2 felt unbelievably recycled.

I'm sure NSMBU will become my new favorite in the mini-series.

That's a remix, man.

Here's how the real song will play:

I don't think it's a remix, it's just a fan video of what the song might sound like without sound effects, since no one has managed to rip the original song bar sound effects yet.

The ad for this game is mediocre. It's basically the Wii U launch commercial, with only NSMBU shown. Still the same earsplitting music, still not really showing any key features.

Really below-average, considering how creative nearly every Nintendo commercial has been.

What I find interesting. There's nothing that indicates to people that THIS game is the Mario of the future. That it's the shiny new experience everyone's been waiting for. There's no 'next generation' feel to it at all.

Just look at the Super Mario Galaxy 2 commercial, from the 'old, under-powered' Wii and compare it to the 'all powerful, shiny-new' Wii U commercial for New Super Mario Bros. U.

Clearly, I'm not the only one who see's a transition for the negative. Where's the magic? Where's the wonder?

Nintendo isn't doing a very good job capitalizing that this new Mario game is something worth getting. I'm still excited for it, but that's just because I'm a to-the-death Nintendo fan. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

I think it's just that awful music that really ruins the Wii U ads.

I used to travel the stars, then I discovered Earth, and these incredibly addicting things called 'Video Games.'
And they said you couldn't buy happiness!

Once again, it's aimed at casuals. Any member of the hardcore gaming community probably knows enough about it to decide on a purchase. :3
