I'm going to get a lot of hate for this but honestly... It looks like a rehash of the last game, it doesn't look any different. Except for a few new power-ups... I'm still waiting for a 3D Mario that utilizes the Wii U Pad in creative ways.

I got a sexy deep v-neck and I'm not afraid to use it XD

Looks better than the 3DS game. They finally made the backgrounds look a heck of a lot better than the first two games.

I don't think Hank done it this way.

Granted they have the benefit of better hardware, but it certainly looks like the WiiU NSMB team is trying harder than the 3DS NSMB team.

You know, from my armchair developer's perspective and based entirely on about 2 or 3 minutes of combined footage. :p

Well, this does have the baby Yoshis, which really gave off that SMW feel to me (and that's a good thing). Also, the Yoshis seem to have different abilities such as inflating, or trapping enemies within bubbles.

Also, the ghost level looked pretty different for the series (set outside instead of in a ghost house, and the background looked like something out of that famous painting, "Scream", or whatever it's called).

There's a lot of Super Mario World inspiration such as the mountains and over world. The 3DS version has Reznor as bosses.

Unless there are significant differences from the other NSMB games ( which so far there don't appear to be) I'm going to pass.

pass, but I do prefer this one to the 3DS one, since it seems to have a little effort. Maybe.

Very Super Mario World which makes me happy so if I get a Wii U at launch I'm definitely getting this alongside it

I liked this one it looked amazing, the 3DS one on the other hand looked like the previous 2 games but with a lot more coins so basically I'm debating If I should cancel my pre-order and save it up for a Wii U or maybe something better.

I wonder if the baby Yoshis eat enemies and "grow up" after eating 5 as in SMW, or stay babies? I don't remember seeing any riding Yoshis in the trailer, but it'd be cool if the babies grow up after chowing down some, and gain additional powers! At least it looks like they'll be more important than in NSMBWii, where we got a handful of Yoshi levels.

At any rate, it's going to be a painful wait here. At least in 1990, I had PlayChoice 10 at a local arcade to give me a taste of SMB 3 a couple of months before its March release! :(

From a gameplay perspective there doesn't seem that much 'new' going on at all, and even though it's visually retaining the same NSMB asthetics, the backdrops got a complete gorgeous upgrade breathing new life into the worlds. Squirrel suit aside, i'll admit it's the graphical upgrade, the fact that it's in HD via HDMI and with true widescreen vthat has me most excited. :p

Plus it's a launch title, how awesome is that!? It's going to be simular to the NES & SNES's launch although NSMB Wii U doesn't have it's own distinct and authentic style in comparison SMB1-3 and World, it's just another nextgen sequal in the franchise which definitly makes it a bit dissapointing instead of being a new bogus beast on it's own....If GoodFeel got a hold of this we would be seeing something a lot more imaginitive and spectacular that's for sure!

Here's hoping they take on a spiritual successor to SMB2/Doki Doki Panic! :D

One thing I was surprised wasn't announced for this game was some form of level editor/creator. I was sure Nintendo would want that in this game, to make it a LittleBigPlanet killer! Maybe they thought it would make the game TOO VALUABLE for infinite Mario levels to be available to the masses? I dunno. That was a disappointment to me.

If a major webcomic doesn't have an "Old Super Mario Bros." comic, I will be so dissappointed.

btw, I've thought of something. It'll be awesome using celeb Miis (as opposed to my boring old self). Gregory House M.D. (Hugh Laurie) vs. Bowser=Battle of the Century!!! :D (aw Hell, I guess BFF Wilson and House's peons could join in too :P )
