You said it first, and the most concisely.

Are you saying that because a game is downloaded, it is free? That it didn't cost Nintendo anything to make?
In the words of Dwight, that is FALSE.

When you say Dwight are we talking Dwight from the office?

Of course. I should have said Dwight Schrute, but I got lazy.

They went from 349.99 with Nintendo Land to 299.99 with Windwaker, but I got a physical copy of NLand, whereas Ihear WWHD is digital. It doesn't cost them anything to allow people to download it off the server, so all they did was remove the obligation to pay for the physical game and keep it at 299.99 for what is essentially the original 299.99 basic bundle all along. This is great tho, because they aren't losing money doing this to increase salesi

For each bundle bought, that's one less WWHD game being purchased separately that retails at $50. So, it does cost them.

Very calm, thank you. And they are not losing "a lot" as they confirmed 1 game sale brought them into profit, and that was a year ago. Parts may be cheaper now.

Everyone asking what's the problem and saying "calm down" need to work on their reading comprehension as my post very obviously states this is a good thing that Nintendo doesn't have to lose money to push more units..

Of course the game cost money to make. The point is that the game cost what it cost to make regardless of any other factors such as console costs.

The game costs money to make and is put up for sale. All this is happening anyway. The point is that once it is up there, it doesn't cost Nintendo anything to let people who bought the Wii U download it.

They still get their 299.99 for the console, which has been the asking price all along since launch, and they simply allow you to download a product that would have been there regardless of the price drop.

The majority of you are completely missing the point. "Youre stupid because you think digital is free, magic wands, blah blah blah"

WWHD doesn't exist solely for this bundle. It is a game Nintendo made to sell. The cost to create it is there, regardless of the bundle. The cost to host it on the server is there regardless of the bundle. Not one cost exists BECAUSE of the bundle. So, my point stands.

You spite your readers by dismissing their claims?

Reading comprehension, indeed.

@LetsGoRetro,

I agree to you to a certain extent! But keep in mind that you also get a digital version of Hyrule historia and a Zelda branded Gamepad! Besides, If you don't want the Zelda bundle you can still opt for the Premium bundle, wich to my knowledge still comes with Nintendoland, but 50 Dollar cheaper!

Hey, buddy! Let me just fill you in a little on what's going on here. There is a subject being debated that we have a different opinion on so I am stating my opinion, and in response, my "readers" do the same.

This will be a common situation you will run into while on a message board, so I figured i'd fill you in on what's going on here!

Give it a shot!

Don't know how making WWHD downloadable saved them so much money. You know how much it cost to run those servers?

If someone buys the Wind Waker Bundle that is one "sale" they lose for Wind Waker, as the way you put it they get it for free. So through the way you are looking at it, sure they didn't actually lose money on the Console but they are losing a sale on Wind Waker. So overall it equals out.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

But they lose money because people that buy a Wii U at this point will likely pick up WWHD as well. So instead of paying an additional 60$ to Nintendo, now they're getting it with the bundle. It still costs Nintendo money regardless.
