EDIT: Yeah, the new system software version is 5.5.1 U.S, just 0.0.1 up from the last one. Nothing too much, then.
Is it me, or is the Wii U a tad faster? XD
@WebHead: Why I sort of expect an overhaul is because they were talking or hinting at a unified OS. I think I remember them refernicing at IOS as example to what they were planning to do in the future, altho im not sure in what way they meant it... what do you think?
New Wii U system update, the first in 18 months. Nothing exciting included in it, however. The usual "stability" line is rolled out. More than likely trying to combat some piracy issues. They could have improved the OS more but like the console, Nintendo moved on long ago. And especially with the Switch out, they'll not do anything to detract from that or put it in a weaker light.
So an update to remove features such as the social Miiverse and friends list and messages... Guess nintendo can't be having their older system outshine their shiney new Switch.
