Topic: Kid Icarus Uprising HD?

today's Super Smash Bros pic of the day on Miiverse reveals a Kid Icarus Uprising stage for the Wii U version. Shouldn't the stage be exclusive to the 3DS version? Unless Sakurai is hinting a Kid Icarus Uprising remake for the Wii U. If it's true, finally dual analog controls.

God, I hope so. It's one of the few modern classics that will be cherished for eternity. I love this game with all my heart. No other current generation game (maybe ALBW) has made me feel like a giddy kid pining to play just a little more before or since. It deserves all the attention it can get and the Wii U needs it, honestly. Also, enough people ignored it due to questionable reviews to be worth another shot at mainstream acceptance of the Kid Icarus IP.

I'm not convinced about dual analog, though. It really wasn't designed in that way. But what do I know? The controls were pitch-perfect for me after some careful customization. I had no trouble finding numerous positions to play without straining my hands, either. A deluxe tablet stylus certainly didn't hurt...

I hope to see a Kid Icarus Wii U game whether it is Uprising or something new.

Wii U version Smash Bros. will have stages based on home console games.

Kid Icarus for NES is a home console game.

But, who knows? Hopefully. I love Uprising

Sums up what I was going to post all Sakurai said was that the stage was from Kid Icarus not uprising.

If it is a Kid Icarus NES stage, shouldn't the stage be actual 8-bit and not Uprising visuals?

Was that the case with the Kid Icarus stage in Brawl, no so I don't see the need for it now and that has never been a requirement for smash stages.

@SkywardL: Brawl had that stage based on Super Mario Bros that was updated. I think this may be similar

What I was going to be said was already said: Kid Icarus was an NES (a home console) game. And no, it shouldn't be 8-bit necessarily. Were most Brawl stages based off NES games 8-bit? I mean, sure, there was Mario Bros, 75M, and Flat Zone 2, but Skyworld, Onett, and others weren't 8-bit, were they?

i would love to see kid icarus on the wii u. as much as i would prefer a brand new game, if it was a port of uprising i might actually get it. hopefully the controls are much better, although i know it wouldn't be as uncomfortable using the wii u gamepad touchscreen as it was using the 3ds touchscreen. if they cut out touchscreen aiming alltogether and went to dual analog without the option i would be a bit upset though.

It would be awesome, but this doesn't confirm anything.

Each series still needs a course. Brawl had Starfox and F-Zero arenas, but no Starfox or F-Zero games were on Wii.

The only reason I don't own uprising is because I'm a lefty. While this confirms nothing I would buy the wii u version in a heartbeat if it happened.

Uprising does have a lefty option, but you need the circle pad pro.

Just because each version of the game will focus on home console games and portable games respectively, it doesn't mean one can't take any sort of content or inspiration from the other's games.
