My point was that I think it will, but if it doesn't, I'm not gonna go online and complain like alot of people like to do.

If you guys need an announcement from Activision, that's fine. I was arguing that it should be a given that they'll actually support this title that will be on 7th AND 8th gen consoles, vs. just 7th gen and the Wii U.

There's no reason to think that they won't support the new COD.

EDIT: This is a REALLY late edit... never the less, understand that I saw your point based on how Activision handled COD BO II on Wii U, but all signs point to yes in regards to the new title. It will be on all the 8th gen systems, and the Wii U install base will be bigger to boot. There is no reason to be skeptical on a title moving forward from poor ports and unexplainable excuses regarding 3rd party support.
I was agreeing that you should wait for confirmination if you're not sure, not that any of the "evidence" you put before me that I was disagreeing with in the first place was somehow relevant.

I have to get the Wii U version, because I can only play with the Wii-mote and nunchuck, I have been playing COD this way since W@W and I could never go back to thumb sticks.

And to anybody wondering, the multi-player for this game will be more or less the exact same as the other console versions. But I wouldn't count on it getting any DLC if the sales numbers are low.

But if this game broke at least 1 million sales, then I would say there is a strong possibility of DLC

Don't really care about CoD, don't really like it, really think it's repetitive and overrated

That is the key. Now I would still say from the look of it Free Fall is coming but for the rest of the Season Pass content Wii U owners are going to have to prove we want these products on our system.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

PS4, Xbox One, and of course PC will all be getting dedicated servers. I doubt Wii U will be getting any though, especially since Nintendo's online service is free. Just another reason the Wii U version will be lacking

On a technical standpoint, I need to ask: what if it doesn't have dedicated server? Does BLOPS2 on Wii U has one? And if it doesn't, did it prevent my friend and I from playing online on the same couch?

I think you lot forget the little stunt Activision pulled with Blacks Ops 2, Nuketwon 2025 was a free DLC map if you pre-ordered Blops2. So was assumed to be permanently available for online play, until thay pulled it and said "Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special event.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II isn't and won't be on Xbox One or PS4

Sorry i don't understand that statement, of course Blacks Ops 2 will not be on the Xbox1/PS4, it was released in November 2012.

People really need to learn how to read entire posts if they want to comment...

I'm aware of the stunt they pulled for Wii U's Nuketown bonus.

My point was that the Wii U is an 8th gen machine, so they're more inclined to support an 8th gen game rather than a 7th gen, one. That's my explanation of why Black Ops II didn't get that much support on the Wii U. If you think all the Wii U can do is 7th gen ports and stuff, you aren't thinking very hard, if at all.

Looks like they removed the Free Fall picture that was next of Wii U box art. Buggy website?

It does indeed seem that it won't be getting Free Fall afterall.

GameStop now has the game listed with Call of Duty Black Ops II DLC personalization packs based on Ghosts.

Either they think the Wii U version will sell well, and they'll charge people for the DLC(basically taking advantage), or they once again ditched the Wii U DLC. The game is coming, that's good, but they might still be skeptical and might release DLC later after they can make sure it sells.

I'm not sure if I'll buy it. Wii U will be my only console for a while, even after Xbox One comes out, so if I'm buying any version, it will be the Wii U one.

Plus, plenty more people will have Wii U by the end of the year, and people are probably in the Wii U only boat like I am right now.

Nothing that would have confirmed it wouldn't be available. Our arguments were equal.

It does look like they won't be giving the pre-order bonus, but the DLC could very well be available on day one.

I think they're going take advantage of the larger install base Wii U will have and get every Wii U owner to buy DLC separately(mainly regarding FreeFall) to make more money, but it's really anyone's guess.

I think it's time to resurrect this thread. I went and got the game at midnight, for Wii U of course. TOTALLY different from Black Ops II. It seems more open and there's alot more you can do for multiplayer.

There's an update right when you put in the disc. Make sure that's on the Wii U itself, otherwise it will most likely freeze.

Yes, tell us oh great "Midnight Loot Snatcher". Share the game's benefits over Black Ops 2 so that we may discuss further about the game's worth.
