Hi forum,
any advice with this appreciated.
I have had a Wii since release but I've never played it myself, my wife and 2 daughters play it. My wife uses it with the Wii Fit board and software and my older daughter mainly plays Animal Crossing, but has a load of other Wii games as well.
I never upgraded to a Wii U but recently found out you can play Wii games on it which made me decide to finally get one, I know I'm late to the party and the Wii U is at the end of it's life cycle.
On to my questions
1. Will my wife's Wii Fit board and software work on the Wii U?
2. Can I move any saved data from the Wii to the Wii U? such as my daughter's save files on Animal Crossing.
3. Can I move any games I've downloaded on the Wii to the Wii U?
4. Can I use the Wiimote controllers from my Wii on the Wii U?
Help appreciated, thanks.
Oh forgot to say and I'm in the UK just in case there's any regional stuff that makes a difference, I know unlikely but thought to say just in case.
1. Yes, Balance Board is the same, and Wii Fit/Plus work in Wii mode of course.
2. Shouldn't be a problem if you make the transfer, move the SD card.
3. Yes, system transfer.
4. Yes.
Google how to do a transfer from Wii to Wii U that way you can do it correctly without any problems. And don't trade/get rid of the Wii before your sure the transfered worked.

If you want to play lots of Wii games, make sure to get the 32 GB model. That model includes a Wii remote sensor bar. (I don't think the white 8GB model includes the sensor bar in Europe, and must be purchased separately.)
The new Wii Fit U game is great fun, if you want to play the newer Wii Fit game. If you have the Wii Balance Board and Wii remotes already, the only thing you need is the game itself.
