Topic: Activision's hint of Black Ops 2 coming to Wii U?

First off, this is an official forum. Second... if they do not have the game in the works for the Wii/Wii U why even bother to put up a forum page?

The question is... Will it actually be for the "Wii" or the "Wii U"? I personally do not see them sinking resources into watering down Black Ops 2 for the Wii when they can just code it for the Wii U... The Wii U will be a hot topic at E3, and I believe they will announce it for the Wii U at E3...

Maybe it is just me being kind of paranoid, but the Gamestop page for Black Ops 2 pre-orders has me scratching my head... I am a web designer by trade, and its a sin to leave such a blank white space after the PC version for Black Ops 2... It almost looks like they are waiting to add another box art... Could the Wii U box be going there after E3?

Thoughts anybody?

On-Topic: It wouldn't be a stretch to think it's coming to a Nintendo system. I'm sure the watered down versions still made a lot of money on the Wii. I don't see why they wouldn't continue on a system they could port it to (possibly) more easily.

@GCNSean Isn't the white space just because there are only three SKUs announced yet so there's actually nothing else to put there? It'll fill up with announced accessories, Xbox Live points/time etc. so I wouldn't take it as a "reserved for Wii U" sign

There you go. That's why I think they'll develop it for the Wii, especially since the Wii U is backwards compatible. See, Call of Duty, being a massive game franchise, has rather high sales expectations. Can't be releasing a game on the Wii U when it will need to sell five copies to every single people with a Wii U or the shareholders will spit the dummy.

Yeah. It's a real tragedy when people who make games try to earn some money so they can eat some food and mabye make some more games.

I'm assuming they'll put it on Wii U next year, like they did with MW on Wii or what they're doing right now with Arkham City.

Wii U is coming out around the launch time of this game, right? Hm, it's definitely a possibility. I just don't see it happening this year. Maybe later when the install bass has grown a bit.

One of the game modes is promising a rts/fps hybrid mode.

Don't think I'll get it for Wii U. All of my friends are getting it for PS3, and 90% of the fun had from CoD is playing with friends.

I'd be cool with this.

I have never been interested in a CoD game ever, but what I've seen of BLOPS2 looks pretty cool.

Though I've been told by some gamer friends that they're ripping off Ghost Recon, so maybe I should be checking that out instead.
