Does anyone know of any Metroid passwords that give you invincibility but start you at the beginning with no power-ups?
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I already found that one on cheat sites, and they say it gives you all the power-ups. I want to play the game properly but without being able to die so that I can get through the whole thing.

Umm......Not being able to die is cheating. o_0 You okay? Are you sure you aren't having a stroke or something?
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

The passwords work for Metroid, as far as I know, I'll have to give the ole Justin Bailey a try just to make sure. It doesn't have the same message that Kid Icarus has before you download it, anyway.

According to gamefaqs, it's just invincibility and infinite missiles.

According to IGN and GameWinners, it gives you invincibility, unlimited missiles, and all power-ups. Invincibility is a necessary cheat so that I can get through the game. However, I want no power-ups in order to be forced to only be able to access the different areas when I'm supposed to do so and only having access to the weapons when I'm supposed to have them, therefore playing it properly.

Here: to play the game as Zero Suit (without power-ups): 000000 000000 000000 000020 To play as Zero Suit (with Wave Beam and Max. Missiles): JUSTIN BAILEY
---- ----
To play as Invincible Samus (with Ice Beam and Infinite Missiles): NARPAS SWORD0 000000 000000
I don't think there is a password that will give you just invincibility. I looked at a couple password generators and invincibility isn't even an option. I'm fairly sure you only get it with NARPAS SWORD0 000000 000000 which is the only built in password.
I think Arkia's right. NARPASSWORD is a special password (as in, not a coincidental password resulting from their password generating system). Therefore, I believe it is the only password that can actually grant invincibility. Sorry =/
Edit: I believe you can leave out the zeros in that password, as the game will add them for you anyway.

The one you gave doesn't work It's: 000000 000020 000000 000020 The real Suitless Samus password. An "cheat-less" way to have an game without the suit, is beat it with the best ending that it have. (Bailey isn't even a word for an suit, even in Australia, that's one big modern legend that survived for years... awesome...) Also proving that Samus never had canonically green hair naturally, if you never seen the ending that she remove the suit. (That's the Nes version of the Varia Suit(less)).
This may be a stupid question but just where and how do you input password codes into the virtual console version of this game? Whenever I lose, after game over it takes me to a password screen but I've yet to figure out how to enter a code there.

You have to hit reset (in home menu), and select the option for that after the tittle screen.
