Theese 3 GBA games plays incredible well and have some fresh ideas add to the old formula. Fiding hidden stuff in the levels is cool or what? Theese game have even more different paths than S&K. The new dash more is also interesting. Many characters to play with. Theres also new scenarios, like the Beach stage on Adventure 1. The character models/sprites also looks really cool. If one think i dont like is the HUB in SA3 -Do you think they are in the seme level from the genesis games? -Do they put Sonic 4 to shame?
I havent played the DS games a lot, but feel free to comment it.
PS: on the last Sonic Adventure stage, you fight the first boss from Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 ... very cool.
Nothing will ever compare to the Genesis Sonic games. The Advance series was quite good for what the GBA was capable of. The music was of a much lesser quality. Not bad for GBA but lacking somehow. Some of the stage designs were cool. Like Music plant in Sonic Advance 2. The DS Sonic games are very good also. Kinda like a continuation of the Advance series.

2&3 were The Best, THQ should get back to making Sonic games again

Sonic 4 in my eyes....I personally consider them an update compared to the classics but the Special Stages are too challenging, the music was bad vs the original games and the levels are too short...other then that, it was awesome.
@Starlight were talking about Sonic Advance games Not the Classic ones.
And Sonic 4 was just Bad, didn't live up to Sonic 1,2,&3

The first Sonic Advance is a pretty solid game, even though it didn't really do anything new. It mainly just stuck with the tried-and-true, but it was still pretty good. I actually enjoyed it more than Sonic Rush. My only real gripe with the game was how impossible it was to get the chaos emeralds. Out of all the years that I owned this game, I was never able to obtain even one.
Now Sonic Advance 2 on the other hand, I just didn't care for. It was by far the weakest of the 3 games.

I managed to only obtain 3 in the 9 years I've had it....but the tried and tested formula worked for this game but it also added some modern things compared to the classics...if you wanted to, you could slide or use Knux's punches.
Played Sonic Advance 1 and liked it a lot, though I hated the special stages. Those were awful. Need to play the other two. I actually liked SA1 better than Sonic Rush, which was good but I thought was maybe a little too fast with too many unavoidable deaths.
@Terra: Don't forget Sonic Pinball Party. The Nights table is pretty cool.
I really enjoyed Sonic Advance 3. The different abilities you get from "combining" two characters was really interesting. Cream + Knuckles was my favourite IIRC, since Cheese became did this sort of awesome homing attack + shield thing. The stages were big and varied and the music was great too.

Oh, I liked Sonic Advance 3, too, and for those same reasons. I just preferred Sonic Advance 2, is all.
Big fan myself. First experience was with Sonic N on the N-Gage, loved it! It's by no means on par with the Mega Drive/Genesis games, but still a great play.
The second and third games however feel a bit weaker compared to the first though.
You do know that Sonic N was a port of the GBA, and it had less Levels too.
