NeoShinobi commented on Review: Geist (GameCube):
Multiplayer was tight in this game.

NeoShinobi commented on North America, Here Are Your 23 Wii U Launch T...:
Nintendo hasn't had a decent launch lineup since the Gamecube, so I had my expectations set pretty low for this.
But this actually seems like a pretty good lineup.

NeoShinobi commented on Platinum: Without Nintendo, There Would Be No ...:
I am a little annoyed that the sequel is only coming to a system I wasn't really planning on getting, but I can live with it. Like some already said, we're lucky we're even getting a sequel.
#4
NeoShinobi commented on Conker's Bad Fur Day Madness and Vulgarity The...:
Easily one of the best games on the N64. The multiplayer easily beats out other classics like Goldeneye.
#5
NeoShinobi commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
I'm working on my final this weekend so... not much time for gaming.
Although, I'm hoping I'll have some time to fix my PS2, getting tired of not being able to play it.

NeoShinobi commented on Review: Castlevania: The Adventure (3DS eShop ...:
I think the score's about right. The only thing I really liked about this game was the music.
#7
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Sonic Blast (3DS eShop / Game Gear):
It's... not horrible, not really all that good either. However, I still like to play this every now and then, not so much because it's a good game but because of the nostalgic feeling I get from playing a gamegear sonic game.

NeoShinobi commented on Atari Turns 40 Today:
It'd be hard to think of how video games would be like today if it wasn't fro Atari
Joust, Moonsweeper, Berzerk, River Raid, Vanguard and Solaris were my favorites.
#9
NeoShinobi commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
Probably just Minecraft.
Though I didn't play anything today so that just leaves Sunday...
#10
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Sonic Labyrinth (3DS eShop / Game Gear):
I.... actually kinda sorta like this game. Not so much for the gameplay, but simply for the nostalgic feeling I get playing any gamegear Sonic game.
It really isn't very good and I wouldn't re-buy it on the 3DS. However, I really don't think a little, obscure, handheld game can be the worst in this series when massive, critical flops like Sonic '06 exist.
#11
NeoShinobi commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
Hmm, the weekend's almost over, but I think I'll play some Sonic Labyrinth as well. I hope it lives up to the hype...

NeoShinobi commented on Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS:
Damnit Sega! Why must you tease me with these references to Panzer Dragoon.
#13
NeoShinobi commented on Grasp the Sword of Hope on 3DS Virtual Console:
Now that's an old-school RPG right there.
#14
NeoShinobi commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
I'm hoping I'll have time to get back into Minecraft this weekend.
#15
NeoShinobi commented on Talking Point: Lessons to be Learned from WiiW...:
I really can't blame them for these complaints, but I find it kinda hard to be sympathetic towards them when they choose to release a game for WiiWare, which is a complete dead-end service. I find it hard to believe that they were unaware of that.
#16
NeoShinobi commented on Project X Zone Screens Burst Out:
Looks pretty tight to me.
#17
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: The Life and Times of SEGA's Game Gear:
I believe the Gamegear was pretty underrated. It had a really good, solid library. Better than most people were giving it credit for. It's just a shame the hardware doesn't seem to age very well.
#18
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble (3D...:
It's been a while since I played this game. I remember really liking it though.
#19
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Shinobi (3DS Virtual Console / Game Gear):
Game is tight.
I definitely wouldn't mind trying one of these gamegear games on the 3DS.
#20
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Strider (Wii Virtual Console / Mega Dr...:
Well, I already have the Sega cart so I won't be downloading this. Nice to finally see it up here though.
Now all we need is the NES version.

NeoShinobi commented on SEGA Confirms No WiiWare Outing for Sonic 4: E...:
I do wonder if Sega will offer any sort of compensation to those poor saps that bought the wiiware version of ep. 1.
#22
NeoShinobi commented on Code of Princess is a 3DS RPG From the Guardia...:
Guardian Heroes?
Great, now I'm gonna get all excited.
#23
NeoShinobi commented on Miyamoto: "Super Mario 64 Was Boring":
Boring? I probably wouldn't like Mario if it wasn't for this game.
#24
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: Remembering the GameCube:
Lots of good memories with the 'cube. It was the only current system that I owned for most of that generation. I eventually broke down and bought a PS2 when they got cheap.
While I think the PS2 was the better system overall, nothing's gonna replace the Gamecube.
#25
NeoShinobi commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii):
Ugh, and yet another Zelda...
Can't wait to try it out.
#26
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Shinobi (3DS):
Well obviously this wasn't going to be as good as the Genesis games, who expected it would be?
Either way, I'll be getting this once I get a 3DS, whenever that will be.
#27
NeoShinobi commented on Altered Beast:
Ahh yes, Altered Beast. A true classic. Well, not so much a classic in the traditional sense of what a classic is, but still a classic in its own right... yeah.
#28
NeoShinobi commented on Review: BurgerTime Deluxe (3DS Virtual Console...:
Used to play a lot of Burger Time on the NES and Atari. Didn't even know there was a gameboy version.
#29
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Mario Pinball Land (Game Boy Advance):
For whatever reasons that I can't quite remember, I really, really disliked this game.
#30
NeoShinobi commented on Nintendo Download: 20th October 2011 (North Am...:
yay, Double Dragon.
I've always prefered the GB version over the NES one.
#31
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: Staff Memories of the Resident Evil S...:
RE2 was my first experience with the series, and it was also likely the first M-rated I ever played, I think I was about 10 at the time.
I remember all my friends talking about how freaky the game was, and here I was playing it thinking "ha, this isn't so bad".
And then I had my first encounter with the Lickers and, well... yeah.
Those b******* still creep me out.
#32
NeoShinobi commented on Double Dragon II Coming to Save Wii Virtual Co...:
Well it's about freaking time.
#33
NeoShinobi commented on Review: GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64):
Pretty good game. The multiplayer really never seemed all that impressive to me, but that's probably because I got into games like Conker before this one.
The singleplayer still holds up really well though.
#34
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GameCube):
A 6 seems pretty reasonable, even if I don't agree with it.
This game is definitely flawed but I guess many of these flaws don't bother me all that much. The Sonic/Shadow stages are definitely the best part of the game, but I really don't dread playing as any of the other characters, unlike in the first game with those damn fishing stages. The other characters really just add depth and veriety to the game.
I never found the camera in either of the Sonic Adventure games to be all that bad either, the camera in say Mario Galaxy was much worse.
And I don't think anybody should be complaining about the VOs since you have the option to switch to the Japanese audio.
I enjoy this game just as much today as I did when I first played it. I honestly prefer the Dreamcast version though, I haven't played Battle in a while.
#35
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Ove...:
Sounds good. Might pick it up when I eventually get a 3DS. Or I might just get the DS version,
which ever is cheaper I guess.
#36
NeoShinobi commented on Shinobi's StreetPass Modes Explained in New Tr...:
This game is obviously not going to live up to the originals. But that dosn't mean it's not going to good.
The street pass mode sounds interesting, though I doubt this game is going to sell enough for it to be practical.
#37
NeoShinobi commented on Sonic Generations Japanese Site Opens with New...:
Shadow was pretty cool in Sonic Adventure 2, but he has been a pretty useless character in every game since.
I don't really see what the big deal is though. If this game is going to include stages from SA2 then it only makes sense to include Shadow.
#38
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Turok: Rage Wars (Nintendo 64):
Well, I didn't think Turok 3 was all that bad. It was certainly a lot better than the Turok games that followed.
#39
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (3D...:
From what I've played, this seemed to be the weakest of the Mario Land games. But for less than $5, I'd still totally buy it.
#40
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Turok: Rage Wars (Nintendo 64):
The Turok games on the N64 were just awesome. Never got to try out this one though, unfortunately.
#41
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of t...:
I did prefer the PSX, but the N64 was still an awesome system. I don't think N64 games (or a majority of PSX games for that matter) have aged badly at all. If the games were good back then, then they have at least some merit today.
Conker's Bad Fur Day was reason enough to own this system. Conker's multiplayer was waaay more fun than Goldeneye's.
#42
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: Nintendo 64 Let-Downs, Head Scratcher...:
The N64 controller was difinitely a little awkward. Thankfully I managed to find some good 3rd party controllers with decent control sticks.
lol, I once tried to mod an N64 controller by replacing the control stick with a PSX duelshock thumb stick, it actually worked out pretty well. That's one thing I liked about N64 controllers, they were fragile but so easy to fix, compared to the duelshock controllers.
Also, the old Turok games were brilliant, I wouldn't change a thing about them, and that includes the foggy environment. To me, they were just a part of the game's atmosphere.
#43
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: Luigi's Mansion 10th Anniversary:
Ahh Luigi's Mansion. Lots of nostalgia with this one.
It's been years since I last played it, but I still remember being kinda creeped out by certain parts of the mansion. This game had some very unique atmosphere.
#44
NeoShinobi commented on Review: Star Fox 64 3D (3DS):
This review really made me want to play this game again...
on the N64.
#45
NeoShinobi commented on Round Table: The Ambassador NES Games:
I'm really, really glad that I didn't buy a 3DS yet. These NES and GBA games are fine and all I suppose, but I personally just don't think I would be really happy with them as compensation.
#46
NeoShinobi commented on Shinobi Returns with Brand New Gameplay Trailer:
Looks awesome.
#47
NeoShinobi commented on Round Table: Looking Back at the Star Fox Series:
Star Fox and Star Fox 64 are two of my favorite games of their respected systems. But I'm not too excited about this 3D port. Porting Star Fox 64 didn't seem all that necessary.
Now if they ramade the original Star Fox instead, maybe smooth out the graphics while keeping the polygonal look, and increase the framerate. I would have been all over that.
#48
NeoShinobi commented on Marvel at Kirby Mass Attack's Minigames:
I'm really liking the look of this game.
#49
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: BIT.TRIP SAGA vs. BIT.TRIP COMPLETE:
I've played some of these games, but I've held off on buying them because I just had a hunch that they would eventually release a compilation with a crap load of extra stuff at a better value.
Pretty satisfying to know that that hunch ender up to be true.
#50
NeoShinobi commented on Feature: BIT.TRIP SAGA vs. BIT.TRIP COMPLETE:
Ha, I knew buying none of these games originally would pay off.
I'll be getting Complete.
