The way things are going (leaf/fire GBA and Silver/Gold for DS), this COULD be a possible 3DS remake in the future. I wouldn't mind it...Just any 3DS pokemon game (mainstream) could be very exciting.

Can't really say I would care much for the remakes. I was pretty disappointed with the original remakes, which IMO, was the beginning of the downfall of the franchise in quality. I'm to this day have no plans on getting the 2nd gen remakes, neither will I get the 3rd gen.
It's more of what Nintendo/Gamefreak will do, rather then what they should do instead.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
why not have different half human caracters threw out the game?
You're right, that idea should be thrown out.
like i said not everyone would like the idea of half human caracters on a new pokemon game. its too much like digemon. but its werd where idea's come from. there was this pokemon movie (yea a pokemon movie) that captured the idea of humans having some powers like pokemon. perhaps it was (lucario and the mystery of mew) ?
BUT: im wondering if perhaps there was some kind of remake for the 3rd generation of pokemon. what will game freak do about emerald? will it perhaps be the pokemon platnum of remakes? that meens it will have more features than the remakes of ruby and sapphire
They probably won't do anything with Emerald considering neither Yellow nor Crystal was remade
I think the Hoenn games were some of the best but it really isn't a game that could use a remake if you ask me. The first two generations were 8-bit and really were a lot more archaic than the GBA games are now. But it's not unlikely. I would not be against it as Ruby/Sapphire were much better than Black and White, which I thought were kinda lame compared to older games in the series. Still, I'd prefer if they would put their effort into a completely new game instead. It would be nice to have a 3DS game in the 5th generation. The 3DS capabilities could make such a game have its own feel next to Black/White.

I think they should make a remake, if only to make the Hoenn pokemon more accessible or those of us without Nintendo Wifi connection or a DS Lite. Right now the Hoenn pokemon are the hardest to obtain because the only game they are home to is a GBA game.
If it is made, I will not get it. These were my least favorite games, and I have been disappointed with every remake Game Freak has produced so far. It will be the first main entry Pokemon game I will not purchase unless something radical is thrown into the mix.

Ouch. What was so bad about the remakes? I thought they were great.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I just got sick of them really quickly. It's cool to see a good game updated, but once you get past the new graphics and slight gameplay tweaks, it's the same game I've already played for countless hours. I was excited for HeartGold, but it grew stale after 2 weeks of enjoyment. I was hesitant on purchasing White Version because of this, but I've been playing it every day since launch. The Pokemon formula is great, but it needs a constant refresh of new Pokemon, plot, battle mechanics, etc to keep it in any way addicting and enjoyable.
FireRed/LeafGreen were even worse, I really dislike those games. I tried to get into it, but I could've just closed my eyes and mindlessly played through the game. Which is basically what happened except my eyes were open. Anyway, enough of my rant.

Serebii.net has just conformed that a new Pokemon game is going to be revealed next month. I don't think that we are going see anything for the remakes until next year, but I can hope.
