I always have thought that generation III was the jewel of the pokemon crown, and with the remakes of generations I and II, I couldn't help get my hopes up for a sapphire remake.Your thoughts here!
Well, generation III happens to be my favourite also and a remake is inevitable. They'll need to add something to make it worthwhile though. A couple of new feature of some indiscriminate sort would be nice. Although, I can't think of anything right now...

Well, that's mainly because it's the generation I started with. I've played them all now but there's probably an element of nostalgia based bias at work.

No they aren't. I think Ruby ans Sapphire or Glll is the best gen, and hope for the inevitable future of Pokemon Ruby and Shappire 3D in 2013. Here is the logic R & S came out in Japan in November 2002 & we got in March 2003, So Japan gets R & S 3D some where around September-October 2012 and we get in March 2013.

^This. Gen. 3 was awesome, but Gen. 2 is the definitive generation, IMO. Also, I would rather have the originals than the remakes. They'd probably ruin it with the DS-styled graphics.
generation III was extraordinarly great. the plot of the story seemed to be emersive enouth to enhance the game. a remake on the 3DS would definently be welcome. get rid of the spirtes and add battle revolution like graphics. wireless and online features will be a welcome change considering no one liked carrying around overzised link cables i was thinking about letting people buy clothing for their human caracters. letting people choose an age between 12 and 30 would be perfect. hair and skin color to be choosed at the start of a new game welcome. it would almost be like making more realistic sim like mii's for pokemon. it would probably add a sence of community knowing everyone looks unique online and by way of street pass exchange.
and this idea might be farfetched but why not have different half human caracters threw out the game? not digemon like but more in human form with pokemon powers?

You're right, that idea should be thrown out.
like i said not everyone would like the idea of half human caracters on a new pokemon game. its too much like digemon. but its werd where idea's come from. there was this pokemon movie (yea a pokemon movie) that captured the idea of humans having some powers like pokemon. perhaps it was (lucario and the mystery of mew) ?
BUT: im wondering if perhaps there was some kind of remake for the 3rd generation of pokemon. what will game freak do about emerald? will it perhaps be the pokemon platnum of remakes? that meens it will have more features than the remakes of ruby and sapphire
