Anybody remember this classic compilation? I remember playing this compilation years ago, it was actually the first time I played SMB, SMB2, SMB2J, and SMB3. Playing those classics with 16-bit graphics were very fun. It was one of my favorite SNES game as a kid, even though I do recall actually beating the games themselves. Wish I could remember what happened to my cartridge. If this game does not come to the VC in a few years, I might just buy another cartridge of Super Mario All-Stars, because it was that fun. I would love to see somebody from NL review this gem sooner or later. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My SNES and Super Mario All-Stars cartridge got smashed when my little brother dropped my 20 inch TV (from the early 90’s I believe) on them when he was trying to connect the RF box in the back; my TV did not survive either.

It was a fun game anyway.

why would nintendo release a compilation of games already on vc but with better graphics that go against the concept of the vc at a far lower price than buying seperately? sorry not likely unless maybe if mario sales go down(yeah right)

ganondwarf has always been short

StarBoy91

A fantastic compilation. I still have the cartridge.

To each their own

I think it was rated for Japan a short while back. Whether that means it'll be released or not has yet to be seen. But hey! They have Kirby Super Star, so why not SMA-S?

I'd pay 2800 points for it tbh, if i didn't already own them all. but it would be cool if nintendo upgraded people that have purchased all of them.

If it's rated for Japan, then it will deftinely be relased in Japan and eventually in North America also. Do you have a link where I can see this rating?

Whoops! It was a trademark, not a rating... I found it on Go Nintendo.

I would be very very surprised to see this one ever appear on VC, at least until the next console iteration of the service.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.
Urban Champion is GLORIOUS.

so how about this. release super mario all stars as a special upgrade for 800 points to those who have downloaded all four NES games.

everyone must own at least three of the NES games on the VC already.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

MetalMario

I wouldn't think it would come to VC, unless they work something out with the pricing.

Like if you already have all of the games on it, it could be free.

I've been saying that since the Wii was released. For those that want it, give them the option, but they have to have bought the original.

Flandre Scarlet, she's cute, she's colorful, she can blow up entire cities, she's also a vampire. Start running sparklepants.

Many people prefer the originals, and not everyone has downloaded the NES games (for the record, my original cartridges still work).

Which means nothing because Nintendo just renewed it.

Good

I bet they'll release it because unlike the originals you can save your progress on all four games.

Does anyone from the States remember the promotion Nintendo put on where if you sent them a check to cover S&H costs (if I recall it was under $5 US) Nintendo would mail you the game at no additional charge?

Yes, that was done for like a year or two after it launched, for anybody who bought a new console with Super Mario World included.
After that, they made the SMAS+SMW pack-in-exclusive cart.
