Ed Fries programmed Halo 2600. He was given permission by Microsoft to create a Halo Game for the Atari 2600.

There will not be any more Halo 2600 Cartridges being made after all the current cartridges Halo 2600 are sold out due to an agreement that Atariage has with Microsoft.

For those that want to try the game, you have to get a gun by going up 1 screen from the point you start the game in order to start shooting enemies.

Whoah, that looks neat! But it'll probably sell for a lot on Ebay

I've already played the flash version of this game and I must say, its pretty impressive. Its a shame that there's so few carts being made though.

I can't resist the temptation to say "Halo is overrated," (which is true) but this is looks neat.

Developed by Ed Fries (former VP of Microsoft's game publishing division) for the Atari 2600, Halo 2600 takes the franchise back to its roots and beyond. A must for Halo fans simply because of the classic rendition of the Halo theme that plays on the during the title screen. I can make it halfway through level two before eating pixels.

This game is a lot easier once you find the gun. The first time I played, I was like... how do I shoot!?! ...guess I just gotta evade everyone. I got pretty far too before kicking the bucket.
