Topic: Your favorite budget title

With the thread about the Stimulas Pack from Activision, I got to thinking about good budget titles. Not craptacular rush jobs like NinjaBread Man or any other thing that DDI puts out, I mean budget titles that are actually worth playing and worth the price or maybe even a bit more. What budget titles (titles released at 29.99 and lower at the time of release, not six months after release) have you guys played and just loved?

For me, it would be a recent release, Deadly Premonition on the 360. It was given a 2.0 at IGN and seriously almost all of the reader comments take the review to task for basically being completely wrong. I have to agree. I don't think I've played any 19.99 game that is better than this mix of GTA/Resident Evil/Silent Hill/Shenmue. Honestly, I don't think there have been many AAA titles this generation that I've enjoyed more.

The other budget title I really remember is ESPN Football 2K5, which in my mind is still the best football game ever made. When it came out I worked with a lot of Madden fans and challenged them to buy this and if they still liked Madden better, I'd buy it back from them and get them Madden. I didn't have to buy a single one back, but there were a bunch of pissed off people at work the day EA bought the NFL rights.

So what are your favorite budget games?

I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.

TKOWL

Pac-Man World 2. ($6 for PS2, GCN, and XBOX) Even though the camera can be wonky, it's still a fun platformer with a stunning orchestral soundtrack that's worth the price of admision alone.

Raylax

Geometry Wars: Galaxies (Wii). Just great fun and one that always goes straight in the drive when I'm stuck looking for something to play. That burns off a few excess hours.

inb4 Klonoa

N+ on the DS ($19.99). One of the best platformers ever made, really. Also Dawn of Discovery Wii ($29.99) is a great little strategy sim.

I couldn't think of any budget games that I buy.

pixelman's N+ mention is something I can agree with though.

$29.99 is a budget title? I don't consider $29.99 a budget title. $20, sure.

However, given the $29.99 criteria, I'll say The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces.

Currently playing: Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA), Infinite Space (NDS)

N+, definitely, though I'll try to think throw some shout-outs for other games if I can think of them.

...Oh, I got another one! Vvvvvv for the PC! Another great Platformer, sort of like N, but with gravity switching and branching paths. And no wall jump.
